Starting today, the Greensboro Police Department, City of Greensboro, City of Greensboro Fire Department, Guilford County Sheriff's Office, Guilford County EMS, and Guilford County Government have teamed up to provide homecoming safety information on our joint information website.

This website offers parking information, GTA bus schedules, and road and street closures.

In addition to safety information, the website provides public safety alerts in real time.

Join Guilford County Veterans Services this Wednesday, Oct. 21 for a listening/information session for the veteran community.

Guilford County Veterans Services invites veterans, community organizations, and residents to attend an upcoming listening/information session to learn about ways to enhance community engagement and formalize governance opportunities in support of Guilford County veterans and key stakeholders.

The community listening/information session will be held Wednesday, Oct. 21, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the N.C. Cooperative Extension – Guilford County Center, 3309 Burlington Road, Greensboro.

The session will provide an overview of county and community-led engagement and governance opportunities and welcome feedback from community stakeholders. Attendees will have an opportunity to ask questions, share feedback about the veteran community’s priorities in Guilford County, and offer recommendations concerning governance formats to advance these priorities.

Parking & Transit details for North Carolina A&T Homecoming Weekend

Parking
Beginning at 5 pm on Friday, October 30, and continuing throughout the weekend, parking will be free in the Greene Street, February One, and Church Street decks, as well as in surface lots, and on-street spaces. The Eugene Street Parking Deck will offer free parking for the weekend following an event held at First National Bank Field on Friday evening.

Free parking applies only to City-owned parking facilities, which are clearly marked with City signage. Additional parking information is available at www.greensboro-nc.gov/parking.

Public Transit
Greensboro Transit Agency’s (GTA) buses will operate on their regular schedules with standard fares. Detours may affect routes and travel times. For real-time route information, visit TrackMyGTA.com.
The Hopper Trolley will operate on its regular schedule throughout the weekend. Rides are free, and route information can be found at www.greensboro-nc.gov/hoppertrolley.
Transit detours are scheduled to begin on Wednesday, October 28, but that date may change based on activities throughout the week.
