“When teens have access to creative, safe spaces to tell their stories, we learn
not just about the world around us – but about who we are as individuals.” - Colette Crowley

Since attending the Media Makers Summer Camp podcasting track in 2025, Colette Crowley has hosted and produced another original podcast series - an exploration of what it means to be biracial in the United States, titled “Mixed Media.” Colette blends cultural context and terminology, statistical insights, and interviews with peers to explore mixed-race identity in the modern age.

Colette’s camp experience provided her with the support, training, and equipment she needed to bring her newest project to life. “They made me feel like I could make something meaningful. I wouldn’t have been able to make Mixed Media without the support I received at GRTV. Now, I have the confidence to create work I’m proud of.”

Applications for Media Makers Summer Camp are now open! Explore tracks in podcasting, studio television production, and filmmaking on our website: https://grcmc.org/grtv/learn/summercamp
