Volunteers are the life force of Grand Rapids Pit Bull Alliance. Our outreach work keeps pets with their families and out of animal shelters.

We are seeking committed volunteers for:
- Community events
- Serving Fundraising events (Upheaval, Food Truck Fridays, Breakaway Festival, etc)
- GRPBA fundraising events
- Pet food distribution
- Direct community pet outreach
- Fix the Future Spay and Neuter clinics
- Phone calls
- Donation collection
- Crafting items we sell to fund our mission (all supplies provided)
And more!

Some volunteer opportunities can be done from home.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION:

- Due to the sensitive nature of our work and the community we serve, those interested volunteering with GRPBA must attend an orientation
- Learn more about our organization and our community impact
- Ask questions and determine if pet outreach volunteer work is right for you
- We require a minimum volunteer commitment of once a month

🍺🐾 GRPBA IS RUNNING THE BEER TENT THIS FRIDAY FOR GR8 Food Truck Fridays

Join us THIS Friday, August 14th at Food Truck Friday and grab a cold one for a great cause!

Grand Rapids Pit Bull Alliance is running the beer tent, and every dollar in proceeds AND tips goes directly back to GRPBA!

This is it our LAST Food Truck Friday of the season running the beer tent and last serving event fundraiser of the summer with all proceeds going straight to our Veterinary Assistance Fund, which we have been working hard to rebuild all summer!

💛 Why does this fund matter? Meet Oreo.

Oreo's mom, Dawn, is a senior on a fixed income. We met them through a senior-based agency in Grand Rapids, who connected us knowing Dawn and Oreo could use some help with pet food, supplies, and vaccines. Every month, GRPBA volunteer Lisa Lenartz visits Dawn and Oreo, bringing them pet food and supplies.

We've also had Oreo in at CSNIP for some dental procedures in the past year. Now Oreo has a mass on his abdomen that's been growing, and Thursday can't come soon enough, we have him set up for an appointment at our friends at Mitten Animal Clinic to have it looked at, along with a wellness exam.

Dawn always puts Oreo first making sure Oreo has what he needs, Dawn is a example of so many folks in our outreach program who love and care for their pets dearly but just need a little help.

Funds raised this Friday during Food Truck Fridays at the beer tent will go directly to the GRPBA Veterinary Assistance Fund to help pay for care for pets like Oreo. We're honored to be part of their story. 🐶❤️

Need help feeding your pets or in need of some pet supplies?

Drive up, remain in your car and volunteers will guide you. Please bring a reusable grocery bag to put supplies in.

Grand Rapids Pit Bull Alliance is back this evening slinging drinks at the Beer Tent at GR8 Food Truck Fridays tonight, raising money for our Veterinary Assistance Fund.

Last year Grand Rapids Pit Bull Alliance paid $21,685.00 towards veterinary care for families in need.

Join us THIS Friday, August 7th at Food Truck Friday and grab a cold one for a great cause!

Grand Rapids Pit Bull Alliance is running the beer tent, and every dollar in proceeds AND tips goes directly back to GRPBA!

We'll be running the beer tent at the LAST TWO Food Truck Fridays of the season, with all proceeds going straight to our Veterinary Assistance Fund, which we have been working hard to rebuild all summer!

💛 Why does this fund matter? Meet Brutus.

Brutus and his dad have been part of our outreach program for 5 years now, and every month we provide them with pet food, treats, toys and supplies. Brutus is his dad's best friend and companion, his dad is a senior on a very limited, fixed income, but he always puts Brutus first and makes sure he's taken care of.
Right now, Brutus is in need of some basic veterinary care: vaccines, a nail trim, a heartworm test, and a wellness exam. Our Veterinary Assistance Fund helps pets like Brutus get that care. We'll be getting Brutus in to be seen at the end of the month.

That's exactly what this fund is for keeping pets with their families happy and healthy when life gets hard.

Come out to either of or BOTH dates, grab a drink from our tent, and help us make sure there's always a way to help the next Brutus. 🐶❤️
