A longtime Lapeer Public Schools teacher is facing federal charges after the FBI accused him of s*x trafficking a minor and paying a teen for s*x and explicit videos.
Investigators say Corwin Dennis Gutenschwager made 21 Cash App transfers totaling $839 to the girl between February 7 and April 16, 2026. Individual transactions allegedly ranged from $5 to $100 and occurred during evening or nighttime hours.
Investigators say Gutenschwager admitted paying multiple females for s*x, telling agents when asked if they could have been under 18, “it’s always possible” and “I didn’t check ID.”
