Last night, Amber Krycka and WOOD TV8 featured the upcoming documentary, which includes our very own Leasa from Sheldon Clubhouse!

We love seeing Leasa and the importance of community, connection, and belonging highlighted in such a special way.

Last week, Sheldon Clubhouse members and staff attended the 2026 USA Clubhouse Conference in Arlington, Va. We came home with great memories and a renewed appreciation for the Clubhouse community that we are part of.

It was especially meaningful to be invited to present on several topics while in attendance. A big "shout out" to Jewels who presented for the first time at a Clubhouse International Conference!

It was a great opportunity to connect with Clubhouses from across the country, share ideas and learn from one another.

A big thank you to the support of MDHHS for helping make this opportunity possible!

We Reconnected, Reflected, and Grew Together.

Recently, the Advisory Board and Board committees met for the annual retreat and social. We had fun and enjoyed good food, while also getting important work done. We accomplished many things and explored ways to better support our Clubhouse community. It is important for the Advisory Board to have time to connect and build relationships. Those relationships help to get the work done. Also at the retreat, Dionne Hardiman and Mary Efting were voted in to serve for another 2 year term. Thank you to Mary and Dionne, and all of our committee and Advisory Board members, for your service to Sheldon Clubhouse!

This week, a group of Sheldon Clubhouse members and staff joined representatives from Network180, other Clubhouses, and Community Mental Health providers at the State Capitol for the annual "Walk a Mile in My Shoes" Rally. The day provided a wonderful opportunity to raise awareness and advocate for community based mental health services across Michigan.

While there, several members and staff also met with Senator Winnie Brinks staff. Members shared their recovery stories, the important role Clubhouse has played in their lives, and why Clubhouse is such an essential community resource. It was a great day!

Yesterday, our community came together for Destination: Connection. What an incredible afternoon it was! ✈️

We shared stories of growth, celebrated the power of connection, and highlighted the many opportunities Sheldon Clubhouse creates for our members. We also had a lot of fun!!
