Call for judges! 📣

We are looking for 2-3 judges to help with this year's Western Slope Big Brew Challenge. The judging takes place Sunday, June 28th in Montrose, more details to be announced soon. Judging is open to anyone with judging experience, BJCP certification is a plus. If interested, please send us a DM or email [email protected]

The summer patio vibes were in full swing at last night's club social at Trail Life Brewing, complete with some refreshing home brews. Congrats to Kevin for taking home the Dino Cup with his Dark Storm Lager. Yum!

Yesterday was a great day for our Western Slope Big Brew Challenge group brew! Base Camp Beer Works hosted four of our brewers on their back patio and we enjoyed a great day of brewing the San Juan Pale Ale and the Huntsman Brown Ale recipes created by Bcha Black Canyon Homebrewers. We even had 11 News stop by for a story!

Good luck to all our brewers, remember that you can still brew up until Sunday, May 10th. If you need to coordinate hop pick up, please get in touch with us!

Our first Kombucha Workshop was a great success! Big thanks to Chelsea for leading the class and walking us through the fermentation process of how to make our own kombucha.

We tasted samples through F1 fermentation and F2 fermentation with blueberries and mint added for flavoring. We also got to meet Chelsea's mother SCOBY, Gertrude, and got a tactile experience to see what a SCOBY looks and feels like. Plus, attendees got to go home with their own baby SCOBYs to get started with their own kombucha with all the info learned from the class!

We look forward to holding another fermentation education workshop like this in the future!

Last Friday night at Fruita Tavern was full of holiday cheer and good friends at our club Holiday Party! 🎄

Thanks to everyone who brought out some delicious food to share in our potluck, and everyone who participated in the white elephant beer exchange and the Christmas Cup! Scott took home the "major award" with his fabulous Rose! Congrats!

Our next social takes place at The Rockslide Brewery and Restaurant and we will be taking entries for this year's Iron Brew at the is social. Look out for more info for that!
