Collaboration Creates Opportunity
Tonight, Housing Frederick hosted a First-Time Homebuyers Funding Class—and it was a powerful reminder of what collaboration can accomplish.
Our attendees heard directly from an incredible panel of community partners:
🏠 Derby Swanson, Habitat for Humanity Frederick
🏡 Steven Rose, City of Frederick Housing Counselor
🏘️ Nouralahi Ibrahim, Housing Programs Coordinator, Frederick County Government
🤝 Joyce Kwamena-Poh, Director of Operations, United Way of Frederick County
💰 Lisa Tyler, Mortgage Loan Officer, PNC Bank
Together, they shared information about homebuyer assistance programs that can provide $7,500, $18,000, $20,000, and even $25,000 toward purchasing a home. Some of these resources can be combined, creating an even greater impact for a future homeowner. There are also programs offering zero-interest loans and zero dollars down.
This is what collaboration looks like.
When organizations come together, share their expertise, and connect people with resources, we create pathways to homeownership that may have otherwise seemed out of reach.
Thank you to our partners for your partnership, your expertise, and most importantly, your time. Your willingness to show up and share your knowledge makes a difference.
Making a difference—one homebuyer at a time. 🏡
