Attendees will learn about the eligibility criteria and enrollment process; features of a Maryland ABLE account and the account management process; tax-free savings and tax-free withdrawals for qualified disabilities expenses; how to access a Maryland State income subtraction for contributions to Maryland ABLE account; how an ABLE account can be used in collaboration with a Special Needs Trust; and recent updates to the Maryland ABLE Program. 🍁Join us for our Fall Dance!🍁

Cost of admission: Bring at least one non-perishable food item to donate to the local food bank

You can also bring individually wrapped snacks to share with friends!

Join us Saturday, October 17th for a special Halloween event where children are encouraged to come dressed up in their favorite Halloween costumes! We will have Trunk-or-Treat at our Hagerstown location (1045 Maryland Avenue) and Trick-or-Treat at our Frederick location! This is a free event with an optional $15 add-on for Open Gym.

AAC & Assistive Technology (AT) Training!!

Mark your calendars! On October 29th, during the FCPS Teacher Work Day, the FCPS Assistive Technology Team will provide virtual training focused on Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) and Assistive Technology (AT) tools.

These tools help students communicate, access learning, build independence, and participate more fully in the classroom.

Let’s continue expanding our knowledge and ensuring all students have the tools and support they need to succeed!

Learn about TerpsEXCEED, an inclusive post-secondary education program at the University of Maryland, College Park. The program provides Maryland students with intellectual disabilities the opportunity to experience college life, develop independent living and employment skills, and participate in campus activities for two years, culminating in a certificate.
