New federal funding is helping us expand Transit‑plus, the service many older adults and neighbors with disabilities rely on every day.

With this support, the County will add new accessible vehicles, making it easier for people to get to work, medical appointments, grocery stores, and community programs.

Transit‑plus is more than transportation; it’s a lifeline that keeps people connected, independent, and active in our community.

We’re grateful for this investment and excited to keep strengthening mobility for everyone in Frederick County.

Family caregivers are invited to attend CARE Academy, a hands-on training designed to provide practical skills that support the safety and well-being of loved ones at home.

Participants will learn:
• Safe transfer techniques using wheelchairs, walkers, bedside commodes, and Hoyer lifts
• Home safety strategies and fall prevention
• Hands-Only CPR
• The Red Folder Program
