Trustees and staff of The Outreach Foundation are preparing to travel to Indianapolis for our Fall Board meeting, which begins Monday. Our theme is🌾Cultivate🌾and we can't wait to explore how that leads us to fuel the global mission of Christ, together.

We are privileged to have these three experienced disciple makers planning to join us and share how God is guiding their work.

🌾Dr. Hrayr Jebejian (top left) is the General Secretary of our longtime partner the Bible Society In The Gulf, which serves the seven nations of the Arabian Peninsula through the translation and distribution of the Bible and Christian literature, as well as services like holistic ministry and leadership training.

🌾Dave Matthews (bottom left) is the founder of Reflejo, a ministry which uses its groundbreaking Discovery Bible Study method to reach people in some of the harshest neighborhoods of Lima, Peru. Now, this incredible ministry is going even further to create new disciples in central Asia!

🌾Dr. Telford Work (bottom right) is professor of theology at Westmont College in Santa Barbara, CA. His most recent books are What About Evolution? and Jesus—The End and the Beginning. A recent focus we are eager to learn more about is disciple-making movement (DMM) strategies and their implications.

Please pray for safe travel for our meeting attendees as well as productive and fruitful time together as we discern where God is leading The Outreach Foundation.

It is with great joy that we continue to share stories with you from our travelers of recent trips.

This testimony comes from Pastor Mike Elmer of Trinity Wellsprings Church in Florida who recently traveled with us to visit The Iranian Church of Brussels in Belgium.

"'Behold, how good and pleasant it is when brothers dwell in unity!' Psalm 133:1

Trinity Wellsprings Church sent our small team to meet with the Iranian Church of Brussels on a vision trip to learn more about possible partnership in the future with the church.

We were most blessed by the opportunity: all along we were in the capable hands of Doug Stewart of The Outreach Foundation who guided the trip; we received a very warm welcome from the pastor of the church, Ahmad Jahanshahi and his wife Maryam, and we found a fervent and sincere fellowship of believers who worship whole-heartedly and pray passionately. The Lord brought us together in mutual affection by the power of the Spirit. Many times our conversations opened up to sharing our struggles, hopes, needs and lives with one another. The Spirit also met us powerfully in our worship together, so much so that even the language barrier did not diminish the joy of our time together.

One moment was a defining one for me: the four members of our team (including Doug) and four of the Iranian church were touring a castle in Bouillon. A young Belgian couple stopped me and asked, 'How does your group know each other?' They figured we were colleagues or former students with their teachers. When I told them that we are the church coming together to support one another, they were surprised.

The unity of the body of Christ is a testimony to the world and a marvel to those who see it."

Amen.

Christians have always found connection to one other, and to God, through the power of music. For many of you, the words in this song won't be familiar, but we bet the tune is.

We all belong to the body of Christ whether we worship at our home church or, like our friends on last week's trip to visit the Iranian Church of Brussles, an entire culture, language and world away.

We are all one.
We pray you hear this familiar tune and remember the God who loves us and calls us beloved.

Our friends visiting our Persian Diaspora partners in Belgium sent this greeting today:

"What a joy to gather together in Belgium with our partners from Trinity Wellsprings Church in Florida and the Iranian Church of Brussels. We spent time praying and planning together for an all-ages summer discipleship camp with the Iranian Church next summer."

We are so grateful for the opportunity our friends have to share fellowship, meals and prayer together. Please continue to join us in prayer for their fruitful trip and safe return home.

The future is not something to wait for — it is something we create together, one act of trust, kindness, and courage at a time.

Our friends at are tearing down walls and instead building bridges within their communities. We are so inspired by their latest update from a summer camp for more than 100 children -- both Muslim and Christian. These young people are shown the love of God and a path toward healing as the world around them remains in conflict.

Today staff and friends are preparing for a first of its kind trip for The Outreach Foundation.

Associate Director for Mission Tom Boone took a few moments to record this greeting for our followers as he gets ready to lead a group that will depart in a few days for Armenia. There they will join our Persian Diaspora partners Radmard.

Radmard is a ministry which works with Iranian men from Muslim backgrounds as they heal from addiction and abuse. Leaders with that ministry are hosting a couple's conference that we have been invited to attend. We can't wait to see what God has in store for this trip and we will share updates as they come in.
