She rushed to the hospital—only to be stopped at the door.
For six hours, she was questioned in a language she did not fully understand while asking one thing:
“How is my baby?”
By the next day, medical questions had become abuse allegations.

URGENT NEED: Help us get a mom’s car back today.
This mama is employed, established in recovery, and fighting hard to rebuild stability for her two children — a teenager and a three-year-old.
She has no family nearby. No backup plan. Just herself, her job, and the car she depends on to keep moving forward.
Last night, that car was repossessed.
She needs $1,368.52 to pay everything off and get her car back.
Without transportation, everything becomes harder: getting to work, getting to visits, getting her children where they need to go, and continuing to prove she can provide stability.
This is one of the reasons why Giver of Light exists — to step in during urgent moments before one crisis becomes another reason a family is torn apart.

Five years.
Four children taken from a mother who did everything right.
She left the night it happened. Filed for divorce the next morning. Completed every class, every service, every hoop the system put in front of her — twice.
And she never stopped fighting.

We are 90% there — because of you!

When we launched the Welcome Home Campaign for a Nashville family reunifying after six years, you showed up. Wish list items arrived. Donations came in. Strangers gave for a family they've never met.

We have one goal left.
