We’re excited to announce a new Foster Friendly® partnership with Camel Express Car Wash!

With children constantly climbing in and out, spills, crumbs, muddy shoes, and everyday messes are simply part of the journey.

While a car wash may seem like a small gesture, it can provide a meaningful moment of relief for a caregiver carrying a heavy load. Getting into a freshly cleaned vehicle can offer a foster parent a chance to take a deep breath, reset, and feel cared for themselves.

Camel Express Car Wash is now honoring foster and kinship families who have a valid Tennessee Kids Belong Foster Friendly® Discount Card by providing one FREE “Best” Car Wash per family each year.

Additionally, families who continue to visit Camel Express Car wash after their first free visit, will be entered into an exclusive drawing to receive a free year car wash membership!

Since launching our Foster Friendly® partnership with the Middle Tennessee YMCA last July, 57 foster and kinship families have taken advantage of this special opportunity to prioritize their health and well-being.

And the impact doesn't stop there! Across Tennessee, we now have 25 YMCA partnerships offering Foster Friendly® discounts and support for families caring for children in foster care. These partnerships help remove barriers, create opportunities for connection, and remind caregivers that their health matters too.

When foster and kinship families are supported, children thrive.

Don't see your local YMCA on the Foster Friendly® App yet? Tag them in the comments below! 👇 We'd love to connect and help bring Foster Friendly® support to more families across Tennessee.

Tennessee is one of the states leading the charge in a new federal initiative known as “A Home for Every Child.” The state’s latest numbers show Tennessee needs an additional 3,081 foster families to meet the new federal initiative, which seeks to establish a one-to-one ratio — one foster home for every child in foster care.

"It will be a challenge," said Lindsay Coleman, executive director of statewide specialized support services. "...I think we can get there.”

We’re grateful to highlight our Foster Friendly® App sponsor, First Acceptance Insurance 💙

As a Tennessee-based company, First Acceptance understands that supporting Tennessee’s children is key to our state’s future. Their partnership with Tennessee Kids Belong is helping make a real difference—supporting organizations that enrich, encourage, and empower children and families to thrive.

First Acceptance proudly stands behind foster parents across our state—those who step in to provide stability, care, and guidance for children during uncertain times. We’re thankful for businesses that recognize and champion the vital role foster families play every day.
