Work continues on Margoth’s home in Honduras!

Thanks to our partners on the ground, CPC, the foundation is laid and concrete walls are taking shape. Each day, she is one step closer to having a place she can truly call her own.

For years, she worried about keeping her family safe. Soon, she will have a solid roof overhead, a secure front door to lock at night, and a safe place to rest at the end of a long day. The peace of mind that comes with a stable home is something many of us take for granted, but for Margoth, it represents years of hope, hard work, and resilience.

Stay with us as we continue to follow Margoth's journey. Her dream is becoming a reality, and soon she’ll be able to walk through her front door for the very first time.

Meet Sidi, a 55-year-old grandmother in Kenya who is raising her 13-year-old son and three grandchildren.

Every morning, Sidi wakes before sunrise to buy fish from local fishermen. She fries and sells them alongside vegetables she grows herself, earning about $3 a day to provide for her family. Some days, there is only one meal to share.

Her home, while a place of laughter and love, was damaged by fire years ago and leaks during every rainstorm. To stay dry, she and the children gather under umbrellas they open inside their home. Despite these overwhelming challenges, Sidi continues to do everything she can to care for and provide for those she loves.

Thanks to a generous whole-home sponsor, the family will soon have a new home with access to clean water, sanitation, and a bicycle to help Sidi get her fish and veggies to market. Follow along as the walls go up, and Sidi begins a new chapter filled with hope and opportunity.

Seeing The Lofts permanent sign go up makes this project feel a little more real.

We’re getting closer every day to welcoming residents into a new affordable senior living community right here in Franklin, designed to offer comfortable, thoughtfully planned homes for adults 55+.

There’s still work happening behind the scenes, but this is a pretty exciting milestone — and we can’t wait to share more as we get closer to opening our doors.

The Family Room at The Lofts is coming to life!

Adam Roddick installed this stunning wallpaper, which will soon serve as the backdrop for countless conversations, shared meals, card games, and family visits around a large community table.

Between the windows, a baby grand piano will be ready to fill the room with music and memories.

A huge thank you to A. O. Smith for donating hot water heaters for every apartment in our newest affordable senior housing project, The Lofts!

Their generous donation is helping us maximize our resources as we work to create attainable housing opportunities here in Middle TN and across the world. We couldn't do this without partners like you, and we're grateful for the impact your generosity will have on the residents who will soon call The Lofts home.

After losing everything to Hurricane Mitch in 1999, Margoth spent years working grueling hours as a housemaid, selling tortillas in one of Tegucigalpa’s toughest neighborhoods, and doing whatever it took to provide for her five children.

Through every hardship, she kept moving forward - even covering half of her daughter’s university tuition. Her biggest dream? A safe home - complete with a solid roof, a front door with a lock, and clean water and sanitation nearby.
