UPDATE: THANK YOU!!! Y'all are incredible! Within an hour, the bus repair has been paid for with the amazing generosity of Max Parrish of Glen's Automotive & Towing and Kosair for Kids! I cannot express enough gratitude! A big thank you also to each of you who commented, liked and shared this post to help spread the word!

‼ HELP NEEDED: URGENT REQUEST TO RAISE $2500 FOR TROOPER ISLAND BUS REPAIR ‼

This is our Trooper Island Camp, Inc. bus that takes our kids from all around the state to our camp on Dale Hollow Lake each week. Our Post 1 area kids are set to go to camp NEXT WEEK, but the bus is in need of some urgent maintenance.

After today's trip to get this week's kids to the island, the bus broke down, with repair costs estimated at $2500. We are hopeful that repairs should be done this week, but we could use a little help raising funds to cover the cost.

Cash or checks (made out to Trooper Island Camp) can be brought to KSP Post 1, or give me a call at (270)856-3721 and I will happily come pick up any donations within the Post 1 area. Donations can also be made at https://trooper-island.square.site/ Help us get our kids to the island next week! *We promise, we will get the kids to the island either way, but we would greatly appreciate some help in covering these unexpected repair costs.*

We will also happily accept donations of 12oz sports drinks, bottled water, individually packaged snacks and sunscreen this week in preparation for next week's trip!

If you are unable to donate, a like, comment, or share to help visibility is greatly appreciated!

Today, the Kentucky State Police Foundation had the honor of providing the wreath for the KSP Memorial Service, honoring the 39 troopers, officers, and patrolmen who made the ultimate sacrifice while serving the Commonwealth of Kentucky.

The Foundation was also privileged to present each family with a commemorative challenge coin and a custom-embroidered handkerchief, hand-stitched by Debbie Benson King, daughter-in-law of Class 2 Trooper Howard King.

Supporting these families and preserving the legacy of our fallen heroes remains central to the Foundation’s mission. Today and every day, we stand alongside the families who carry forward the memory, service, and sacrifice of Kentucky’s fallen heroes.
