📜 Experience history like never before with Broward County Library’s "American Revolution: The 250th Anniversary Experience"!

This interactive traveling exhibition uses cutting-edge 3D and augmented reality technology to plunge visitors directly into the defining moments of America’s birth, from Colonial Virginia to Washington’s daring Delaware crossing and the final victory at Yorktown.

Using easy-to-use, portable HistoPad tablets, guests of all ages can explore at their own pace, interact with historical figures, track down war relics, and participate in interactive treasure hunts through 8 life-size digital recreations. Developed with leading historians, in partnership with the Museum of the American Revolution, the project combines rigorous research with cutting-edge technology to spark exploration, discovery, and renewed insight into the past. All facets of the exhibition and receptions are free; registration is required for both at each location.

Join the Broward County Library for this free, multi-generational literacy program that empowers parents and children (ages 5–11) to learn side by side through strategic storytelling, engaging literacy games, and enjoyable at-home learning activities.

Led by a trained, bilingual (English/Spanish) literacy coach, this interactive workshop helps families connect over books while equipping them with tools to strengthen English vocabulary and build lifelong reading habits.

🎨🔊 Visit the Broward County Library and immerse yourself in a traveling public art project by artist Gabriela Gamperl, touring Broward County Libraries now through October 2026.

Voices of Our Neighborhoods is a traveling mural and soundscape. The mobile public art project will combine large-scale visual art with community-sourced audio to celebrate the diverse stories of Broward County. The mural will include 15 personal stories in the form of memories, poems, songs, and spoken word, each paired with a painted wooden cutout of the storyteller’s home, a plexiglass portrait, and a QR code linking to their audio.

As the 2026 “Unearth a Story” Summer Learning Program comes to a close, a dino-sized THANK YOU goes out to everyone who made this season so special!

✨ Thank you to all the attendees who joined Broward County Library to beat the summer slide. Families explored new books, enjoyed cultural performances, and built a stronger community of readers across all ages!

📚 For the 2026 Summer Learning Program, participants logged over 8 million minutes of time spent reading, and kids under the age of 5 logged over 37,000 books read!

A huge thank you also goes out to the incredible sponsors and community partners, including Florida Power & Light, Friends of the Broward County Library, JM Family Enterprises, Florida Virtual School - FLVS, the Museum of Discovery and Science, Young At Art Museum, Florida Panthers, BlueFoot Pirate Adventures, Zoo Miami, MadArts, Butterfly World and more for rewarding readers with fantastic prizes all summer long!
