Strong nonprofits require more than strong programs. They require strong financial leadership, informed governance, and shared understanding between board and staff.

Thank you to BDO for facilitating financial management training for Second Chance Society's board and staff, sponsored by the Citi Foundation and hosted by the Community Foundation of Broward.

The experience gave our team a chance to strengthen our financial knowledge, learn together, and keep building the infrastructure needed to steward our resources responsibly as SCS grows.

Because strengthening our organization strengthens our ability to serve.

Someone will get a job offer and realize they can't afford the required uniform.

Someone rebuilding after homelessness, incarceration, recovery, or another major life transition will be ready for what's next—but need a little help getting there.

Second Chance Society was pleased to attend the Greater Fort Lauderdale Chamber of Commerce Working Women Win Leads Group, a networking group dedicated to empowering female entrepreneurs, building meaningful connections, and creating new business opportunities.
