What does Amendment 3 mean for Florida homeowners, our communities, and the future of property taxes in our state?

Join United Way Broward and our partners on Tuesday, October 6, from 2:30 - 3:30 pm for Amendment 3 Explained, a virtual, nonpartisan conversation designed to educate and inform voters about Florida’s homestead property tax ballot measure. Florida’s Division of Elections lists Amendment 3 on the 2026 ballot as “Increased Homestead Exemption; Lower Cap on Increases in Non-Homestead Property Assessments.”

Moderated by WLRN CEO Tom Hudson, the discussion will feature State Senator Dr. Barbara Sharief, former State Senator Jeff Brandes, and Broward County Property Appraiser Marty Kiar.

Hear perspectives on both sides, learn about the facts and potential impacts, and get informed ahead of Election Day.
