⚠️Petition to stop dragging “red” into everyone’s drama.🚨

Red is not a flag.
Red is not an alert.
Red is not rage.
Red is not your bad decision after 9 p.m.
Red is a fluffy little bamboo goblin minding its business in a tree.

Spread the message. Make people aware.

Nima Tamang is Acting Locally for Global Impact 🌱

🙏 We’re incredibly grateful for Nima’s work as a nursery caretaker at our Tumling forest conservation nurseries in Nepal’s Ilam District. There, thousands of native seedlings are being grown to help restore critical red panda habitat lost to deforestation and degradation 🌳

Nima’s deep knowledge of native plants and passion for conservation are helping build a brighter future for red pandas in the wild. 🐾

This , you can join Nima in making a difference through our campaign! Every donation helps us plant trees, supports forest nurseries, and uplifts livelihoods for local heroes like Nima 💚

We’re grateful for Perth Zoo's ongoing commitment to community-based red panda conservation. 🙏

🌱 Thanks to their generous support, we’re restoring critical red panda habitat in Nepal’s Jaubari region — reconnecting fragmented forests, supporting local communities, and protecting one of the world’s most endangered mammals. 🐾

🌳 Together, we’re planting native trees, expanding wildlife corridors, establishing forest nurseries, and investing in a future where both red pandas and people can thrive. 🫶

Partnerships like this show how global collaboration can create lasting impact for wildlife and communities alike. 🌏

What do bees 🐝 have to do with red panda conservation? Glad you asked!

Thanks to donors like you, Forest Guardians in Nepal are protecting both red pandas and pollinators. Last year, with support from Surya Bhattarai received 18 modern beehives alongside his 30 traditional log hives to strengthen beekeeping as an alternative livelihood practice to other activities that may result in habitat loss, degradation, and red panda poaching.

Surya says "The nectar and pollen the bees collect come from the habitat where the red panda lives. Additionally, they are crucial pollinators for flowering and fruiting plants such as Magnolia, Rhododendron, Himalayan whitebeam, and Wild Kiwi, supporting the regeneration of forest plants that sustain red panda habitats." Surya adds that during his regular red panda patrols, he also watches over the bees.

Twice a year, Surya harvests 20-22 KG of organic honey, supporting his children's education and household needs.

This proves how bee conservation strengthens forest health, healthy forests sustain red pandas and sustainable livelihoods motivate communities to protect both. Finally, this completes a cycle of mutual benefit where pandas, pollinators, and people thrive together.

“Participating in this training and producing rugs on my own has helped me earn income to pay rent and support my children’s education,” 🗣 shared a recent participant of one of our rug-weaving training for women in Nepal.

🐾 In many rural communities within red panda range, women face significant barriers to education, economic opportunity, and leadership roles while carrying a disproportionate share of household responsibilities.

That’s why we’re committed to supporting sustainable livelihoods and advancing gender equality, while fostering red panda stewardship. We continue to offer valuable rug-weaving trainings to local women, where they learn loom setup, weaving techniques, design, and material selection—and receive weaving tools and thread to continue their work independently 🪡

🫶 You can support these women and help create alternative income opportunities by purchasing one of their handwoven rugs today. Stock is limited, so don’t wait! https://red-panda-network.myshopify.com/
