Dear community,

We’re delighted to announce NFNC Summer Camp West 2026!

This year, we’re returning to the heart of New Culture: intentional relating in community, grounded in intimacy, transparency, and shared responsibility. We’re also entering a season of transition, as longtime and newer Scamps learn from one another and help shape the future of this community.

Whether this is your first Camp or your thirty-first, you are warmly welcome here. Your presence, curiosity, and participation matter.

We’re especially excited to introduce Love Nests this year — smaller circles within Camp designed to deepen connection, share responsibility, and bring New Culture principles more fully into daily Camp life. Please take extra care with the application questions, as they will help us create the most supportive Love Nests possible.

Kids are welcome at Camp! We’re excited to include children this year and see that part of our community grow. Kids programming will be shaped through the Love Nests, so the more families who join, the more creative and engaging those offerings can become.

Camp dates:
Friday, July 31 at 2:30 PM – Sunday, August 9 at 4:00 PM
Location in Oregon, about 15 minutes west of Eugene.

Applications open April 25 at noon PDT
and close at midnight May 10.

Please apply by May 10 if you would like to be considered in the first round. Acceptance or waitlist notices will be sent on May 15. Applications received after May 10 will be automatically waitlisted.

We hope you’ll join us with open hearts, open minds, and a readiness to connect.

Dear NFNC Family,

Please save the dates of July 31- August 9!

We are excited to share that we have secured a wonderful new venue for our West Coast Summer Camp next year. It is a beautiful spot in nature just west of Eugene, Oregon, with plenty of water and electricity, a pond that is large enough for canoeing, a swimming pool, and a bathhouse with flush toilets, sinks and showers. It has lovely areas for camping, as well as many primitive RV spots (no hookups). It is mostly flat, although not all flat, and has a centralized area for our daily activities. We feel very fortunate to have found it.

Just a heads up... the Acceptance and Payment email went out overnight to all campers via Mailchimp. Look in your Spam folder if you're not seeing it. Also there's still room at both Reunion camp (for returning campers and their guests only), and Main camp... and we're still looking for families. Applications have been held open until the end of the month, or until we're full.

Exciting News! 🎉

Hello campers!

This year’s organizing team has some exciting information to share with you about our camps this summer. Yes, you read that right – multiple camps! In the spirit of experimentation, this year we are offering two camps in Southern Oregon, each with a different theme.

The first camp is called Deeper Dive Camp June 21st-June 30th 2024.

The NFNC mission statement states: We seek to build a sustainable, violence-free culture through exploring intimacy, personal growth, transparency, radical honesty, equality, compassion, freedom of choice in interpersonal and sexual relations, and the power of community. New and returning campers are welcome at this camp.

This year we will dive deeper and explore what these ideals and values mean to us. How can we more fully embody them during camp and in our daily lives?

Join us in creating a powerful space that allows us to:
Play with somatic sensuality to upgrade our senses and learn how this awareness can bring a real lust for life
Strengthen our ability to have difficult but necessary conversations as a path to peace and acceptance
Continue the work of educating ourselves to become better friends and allies of everyone in our diverse and expanding community
Increase our empathy and compassion for ourselves and our community
Deepen our intimacy and joy

The second camp is called Affinity Belonging Camp, July 2nd-July 7th.
“From oppressed to fully expressed”.

For Summer ‘24 we envision a mix of 50-70 campers that include approximately 35% BIPOC/PGM, 35% LGBTQIA+/Genderqueer, and 30% folks who are drawn towards this liberatory work who don’t identify with either of these groups. Affinity Belonging Camp is not an overflow camp from the Deeper Dive camp and has a different mission.
Goals of the 2024 Affinity Belonging Camp:
To co-create a supportive community, a love-filled nest, where camp participants are invited to speak about the wounds they carry as a result of stereotyping, discrimination and systemic oppression
To liberate ourselves from these wounds and then to fly the nurturing nest we’ve created through growing perspectives, skills and trusted friendships that allow us to move from oppression to full expression, without shame or fear, wherever we find ourselves
To build compassionate connections between people from different affinity groups, allies, and the NFNC community
To incorporate music, food and dress from multiple ethnicities
To initiate a multi-year plan to strengthen and deepen the work of liberation-for-all within our community
To bring this work back to the larger NFNC community so that we can serve more marginalized folks
