Hosea Youth Services www.hoseayouth.org/about-us/ Since 1995 . . . Hosea Youth Services has been serving homeless and displaced youth in Eugene, Oregon and its outlying communities.

From our strategically located Resource Center in the heart of Eugene, we offer two hearty meals a day, clothing, toiletries, showers, laundry facilities, computer access, pet kennels, a nap room and much more in a secure, restful and encouraging setting for young people ages 16 - 24. We think of our Resource Center as a place for our young homeless community to feel safe and cared for, to find re

spite from the dangers and desperation of the streets and to find alternatives to their current situation. Our staff and volunteers work hard to develop relationships, learn stories and do all we can to assist our young guests in working toward lives of health and purpose.

When we wanted to take a group of young people to the coast for a fun "Hosea Family Day" but, ran into a snap, we needed a way to get them there with staff. Well we are so grateful for the team at Willamette Pass who heeded the call and not only showed up with a van but also our own personal driver. It really was a lovely day and a gift to our young people who had smiles from ear to ear.

We look forward to a trip to the mountains this winter and so thankful for our tribe...our people. Community is key and we are so thankful for our community who make things like this possible so that our young people can live lives of health and purpose.

ACTIVATION ANNOUNCEMENT: St. Vincent de Paul's Emergency Response Team is activating Tuesday, Aug. 4–Friday, Aug. 7, 2026 for cooling-center and smoke-relief shelter operations at Lane Events Center Meeting Room #1. The emergency shelter will be open from 10 a.m. – 7:00 p.m. each day. Please stay tuned for more information — and stay safe!
