Today we celebrate the heart behind everything we’re building.

Dawn, thank you doesn’t even begin to cover it. Thank you for your strength, your love, and the way you continue to show up for others even through unimaginable loss. The way you carry Eric’s light into this world is something truly special, and it’s the reason so many people are finding hope, connection, and healing through this foundation.

Thank you for raising such an incredible person. Eric wasn’t just loved — he loved deeply, and that lives on in everything we do. Because of you, we were given one of the most genuine, kind, and unforgettable souls… and now, we’re lucky enough to have you too.

You are more than our founder — you are family. A bonus mom, a guiding light, and a constant reminder of what love in action looks like.

We love you so much, and we are so grateful to walk this journey with you.

💚 An Incredible Update Our Community Has Been Praying For 💚

✨ Good news to share with everyone who has been supporting Brady…

We are incredibly happy to share that Brady received his kidney transplant on Monday, and he is doing amazing and recovering well.

At just 14 years old, Brady was diagnosed with stage 5 kidney failure. Now, at 15, he has already faced more than most people ever should, making this moment even more meaningful for him and his family.

💚 While the surgery is a huge step forward, the healing journey is just beginning.
Transplant recovery comes with many challenges, adjustments, and ongoing medical care.

🙏 Please continue to keep Brady in your thoughts and prayers as he moves through the recovery process and gains strength each day.

Your support truly means so much to him and his family.

💚 If anyone would like to help support Brady and his family during this time, we will include their Venmo and Cash App in the photos below.

Transplants come with many unexpected expenses, and any support—no matter how small—can help ease some of that burden.

Braedyn is facing kidney failure and is currently waiting for a transplant. His family could really use the strength, love, and support of their community right now.

At just 14 years old, Braedyn is facing stage 5 kidney failure.

Stage 5 kidney failure is not just a diagnosis. It’s hospital visits. It’s uncertainty. It’s long days, long nights, and a family carrying more than anyone should have to carry.

Tomorrow, our community has the chance to show up for a 14-year-old and his family in a real way.

🧠 Mental Health

Did you know?
Nearly 1 in 5 adults in the U.S. experience mental illness each year.

“You don’t have to control your thoughts. You just have to stop letting them control you.”

At Eric’s Safe Haven Foundation, we believe mental health support should be accessible, stigma free, and rooted in community rather than silence or shame.

Right now, we are in the early stages of building that vision. We are actively writing grant proposals, learning as we go, and working to secure the support needed to grow. Our long term goal is a sober friendly community space that brings creative classes, coping tools, Narcan and stigma reduction education, meetings, and supportive connection together in one place.

The heart of it is simple. Helping people access trusted resources, feel supported, and have somewhere safe to land. Even if that support starts with knowing you are not alone.

Statistic:
Over 70% of overdose deaths now involve synthetic opioids like fentanyl. Too often, people overdose without ever knowing fentanyl was in what they took.

At Eric’s Safe Haven Foundation, our mission includes education, awareness, and compassion because lives are saved when people are informed and supported instead of judged.

🎵 How we help right now
At this stage and all future stages of our work, we support individuals and families by organizing and partnering on benefit shows. These events bring the community together through music to raise support, awareness, and hope during times of need.

This is one of the ways we serve while we continue building toward our larger vision of a sober community venue and resource center that will offer ongoing support, education, and connection.

🕯️ Grief & Loss

Grief doesn’t move in stages — it comes in waves.

📊 Did you know?
• Nearly 1 in 5 adults experience prolonged or complicated grief after losing a loved one.
• Grief can increase the risk of depression, anxiety, and physical illness, especially when people feel unsupported.
• Many grieving families say the hardest part isn’t the loss — it’s being expected to “move on.”

“Grief is love with nowhere to go.”

🤍 This is why Eric’s Safe Haven Foundation exists.

We have made it part of our mission to stand beside families who have lost someone — in any way, at any stage. Loss doesn’t look the same for everyone, and neither should support.

🎵 How we help (through benefit shows and community fundraising):
• Hosting benefit shows to help families offset funeral and memorial costs
• Organizing community-driven events to assist with medical or hospital-related expenses
• Rallying support through benefit events for families impacted by fires or unexpected disasters
• Raising awareness and funds through shows for those facing organ transplants or major medical needs
• Creating spaces of compassion, connection, and remembrance when someone simply needs to know they are not alone

Grief doesn’t end when the service is over. Bills still come. Life still moves. And families are often left to carry it all quietly.

However you’re grieving today — recently or years later, loudly or silently — it’s valid.
You don’t have to explain your pain here. You don’t have to rush your healing.

Jessie has been such a bright light within our foundation. She has a true heart for connecting with people and making others feel seen, supported, and valued, which is at the very core of our mission.
