Spooky Szn is just getting started with DCC’s SPIRIT WEEK! 🕸️🧡

Bringing the Halloween fun all week long with exciting themes, from spooky characters and cozy Halloween pajamas to showing off those favorite costumes on Boo Bash day!

Our team was busy making an impact in the community this past Saturday! 🙌📚

Following the breast cancer awareness walk, our enrollment team spent the afternoon at 2nd Street Market, in community engagement and outreach. They shared resources, gave away free children's books, and connected with families about our Early Learning Center and after-school enrichment programs.

They even met adults who attended Dayton Christian Center as children! Thank you to 2nd Street Market for welcoming us as we continue to build such a beautiful legacy in our community! 🫂💙

DCC is Making Strides for Breast Cancer Awareness!

This past Saturday, some of our staff proudly participated in the Making Strides of Greater Dayton Walk! 💗 They dedicated their time to raising awareness, supporting breast cancer research, and standing alongside those impacted by breast cancer. We were also grateful to see one of DCC’s board members, Ms. Norma Jean Dunson, joining the walk!

Thank you to everyone who continues to support this important cause. Together, we make strides toward a future with better treatments and a cure! 🎀💞

A big thank you to Omega Community Development Corporation-CDC, Preschool Promise, and mvcdc.headstart for joining us at our September 23rd Open House and sharing valuable resources with our families! 💙💙

It was a wonderful evening filled with family connections, introductions to our amazing staff, opportunities to learn more about our programs, and dinner shared together. You all helped make the night so welcoming and engaging.

Spread Breast Cancer Awareness with DCC! 💗🎀
Dayton Christian Center is proud to bring back our Breast Cancer Awareness Initiative this October! We’re coming together to spread awareness, show support, and uplift those affected by breast cancer.

Here’s how you can join us:

•Wear Pink Thursdays: Staff, students, and families are encouraged to wear pink every Thursday throughout October! 💗

•Walk with Us: Join DCC at the Making Strides of Greater Dayton Walk this Saturday, October 10th, at Riverscape MetroPark! Registration begins at 8:30 AM, and the walk starts at 9:30 AM. 🎀

•Share on Our Prayer Board: Beginning Monday, October 12th, add the name of a loved one who is battling breast cancer or a survivor to our Prayer Board in the Early Learning Center lobby. Every name will be lifted up in prayer. 🙏🏽

📢 REMINDER: DCC WILL BE CLOSED TOMORROW!!

All programs will be closed tomorrow, October 5th, for Professional Development Day. Professional Development Days give our teachers and staff valuable time to learn and strengthen the skills they use to support our children and families every day.

We’ll resume our normal hours on Tuesday, October 6th. Thank you for your continued support as our team takes time to grow and prepare for another great day of learning! 💙💙
