You heard that right. Aullwood Audubon and Farm is looking for a passionate Conservation Manager.

🌳The Conservation Manager will work closely with the Senior Manager, Ohio Centers - Conservation in managing and executing the day-to-day conservation priorities at Aullwood Audubon to support Audubon’s ambitious goals for the Ohio Centers

🪶 Supervising and engaging staff, interns and volunteers in developing, implementing and tracking habitat management and restoration plans across Aullwood’s 200-acre nature sanctuary

🐷 This position is responsible for ensuring the health of Aullwood’s livestock ambassadors and developing a Livestock Plan to support Aullwood’s conservation work

JUNE 13TH- JUNE 14TH, 2026: If you are planning a visit to Aullwood Audubon and Farm, please be aware that with the 52nd Dayton Air show this weekend, there is an increased chance of experiencing loud, and potentially disruptive sounds across the property. 🛩️

Please plan your visit accordingly, especially if you have a highly perceptive nervous system.

Did you know? Dayton is the birthplace of aviation--a feature that inspired artist Thomas Dambo to tell the story of "The Troll That Hatched an Egg." The curious daughter troll, Bibbi (pictured), sees a metal airplane and believes it's a giant bird that has dropped metallic "eggs".

We are proud to share that faeries have returned to Dayton! 🧚

For years, these magical faeries and their buildings have enchanted guests, but have you ever wondered where they mailed their letters, borrowed books, purchased bird friendly coffee, gathered with friends, or learned about nature?

Nestled along Aullwood’s paved and accessible Cardinal Trail, guests will discover six unique faerie homes that were constructed by local volunteers.

Be sure to stop by the Visitor Center for admission and to get your scavenger hunt! If you complete a scavenger hunt while exploring the exhibit, you can exchange it for a coveted gift from the faeries. 🍄

Here at Aullwood Audubon, we love our summer camps. Every member of the camp crew even has bird name. 🐦
