The March 12th Luncheon is filling up!

American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) Dayton Section and Kittyhawk Post have partnered to bring you Ryan Brush, Staff Engineer at Centerville’s Engineering Department, and Dan Hoying, Senior Civil Engineer at LJB Engineering.

They will discuss the next phase of the I-675/Wilmington Pike Improvement Project, a major transportation initiative supporting “one of the most dangerous high-congestion, high-crash areas in the state.” This session will provide an in-depth look at the planning, design and implementation of critical roadway and interchange upgrades aimed at addressing long-standing congestion, operational deficiencies and safety concerns at this heavily-traveled junction.

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!

TechFest at Sinclair Community College is Saturday 14 Feb and Sunday, 15 Feb 2026, from 10:00AM to 5:00PM. This is the premiere STEM event in our region with over 80 exhibits from all branches of science and technology. All are hands on activities for youth Kindergarten thru 12th grade. 3,000 – 4,000 attendees are expected over a 2 day period.

SAME Kittyhawk Post provides an exhibit/booth in conjunction with the local chapter for American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE). We have a VERY popular low tech exhibit for the younger students to learn about structures using gum drops and toothpicks. We provide 2 volunteers per 2-hour shift as does ASCE Dayton Section.
