31 years!!! That’s quite an accomplishment:)

Today, we celebrate Wyonna Chenault Simpson— founder, director, and the unstoppable heart behind the awardwinning Chenaulte Competitive Dance Team.

Wyonna began dancing at seven years old and went on to train, compete, and perform on national stages, including multiple televised bowl games and Disney’s Epcot Center. In 1994, she founded Chenaulte’ in honor of her parents, and in 2005 she opened The Studio, which continues to shape dancers of all ages.

Her choreography has earned countless regional, state, and national titles — including multiple national soloist champions — and she has twice been named Showcase America Unlimited’s Director of the Year.

But beyond the trophies, Wyonna’s presence within Showcase has made a lasting difference for dancers, families, and teams across our community. She is always thinking of new ways to welcome and include others, and she never leaves a dancer behind. From Easter egg hunts to lucky ducks, she treats every dancer as if they were her own — cheering for them with the same passion and pride she gives her Chenaulte’ dancers.

Wyonna is also a certified AmeriDance judge, a member of the Showcase America Unlimited Board of Trustees, and the recipient of honors such as the In Her Footsteps Award and recognition as a Dance Educator Innovator.

Her leadership, generosity, and unwavering commitment to young performers have made her a true pillar of Showcase. We are thrilled to honor her and the 31 years of blood, sweat, and tears she has put into the Chenaulte’ dance program.

Jordan Strong

From the Seubert family…

We are honored to award 2 scholarships in this inaugural year of the Jordan Strong scholarship in memory of our son, Jordan, who was an incredible scholar athlete, community minded, and a fierce fighter against T cell leukemia. We hope this scholarship will be a way to keep his memory and presence alive for generations to come. Live like Jordan.🧡

We are proud to present this year’s recipients, Mackenzie Drew and Ryleigh Adams. Both of these individuals should be commended for their high level academics, exceptional achievements in two sports, outstanding leadership, and frequent participation in community service.

Congratulations Mackenzie and Ryleigh!

Hall of Fame

This award was created to recognize individuals from within our Showcase family who give back with everything they have, who lift others up, and who help our community continue to thrive and grow. Our founder, John Graham, believed deeply in celebrating the people who quietly, consistently, and wholeheartedly make a difference. The Hall of Fame exists because he wanted to ensure we never overlook those who continue to do good things for others, both on and off the floor.

This year, we have the privilege of honoring a program — and not one, but two remarkable women — whose impact embodies everything this award stands for.

For thirty years, Macomb Community Dancers has been more than a dance team. It has been a second home — a place where young dancers found confidence, discipline, friendship, and family. And at the center of that legacy stand Jane Elias and Nicole “Nikki” Stacey, a motherdaughter team whose leadership has shaped generations.

Their dancers describe MCD as a place where they were seen, supported, and believed in. Jane and Nikki recognized potential long before dancers recognized it in themselves. They created a culture where every child belonged, where families were embraced, and where support extended far beyond the studio.

Their impact reached into life’s hardest moments. When one dancer lost her mother during her senior year, Jane and Nikki didn’t hesitate — they cancelled practice, gathered the entire organization, and showed up for her family. That is who they are. They don’t just build dancers; they build community.

Service has always been woven into MCD’s identity. From Thanksgiving food drives to community parades, they taught their dancers to give back, to show kindness, and to be part of something bigger than themselves.

And now, as MCD celebrates its final season, its legacy lives on — in former dancers, in families, in friendships, and in a new generation following in their footsteps. That is the mark of a program that mattered. That is the mark of leaders who built something that lasts.

We are honored to recognize Jane Elias and Nicole “Nikki” Stacey of Macomb Community Dancers as inductees for the Showcase America Hall of Fame. Their heart, their leadership, and their decades of service have shaped this community in extraordinary ways.

Coaches/Directors are the heartbeat of every program. They show up early, stay late, calm nerves, fix costumes, and cheer louder than anyone in the room. They don’t just build routines — they build confidence, character, and community.

And what makes coaches/directors truly remarkable is how far their impact reaches. They support dancers from every team, lift up other coaches, and welcome new programs with open arms. Because of them, Showcase isn’t just a competition. It’s a family.

As one reminder of the leadership they embody every day, we want to share this quote: “A leader is someone who lifts others up, not by standing above them, but by standing with them.”

This year, we received an extraordinary number of Director of the Year nominations — a true reflection of the love and dedication our directors pour into this organization. We would like to recognize each of those nominated.

April Nudds - Legionettes
Erin Wheeler – Centerville
Lisa Clark – East Central
Nicole Stacy – MCD

And now, it is our honor to present the 2026 Showcase America Director of the Year…

One of the greatest honors and most memorable awards at Nationals is the John Graham 5 Star Award. This year, the recipient- Miss Abigail Hatfield, was presented her award by our Founder’s (John Graham) daughter, Karla and Best Friend, Chuck.

Here is her nomination letter…

Nominee: Abigail Hatfield

It is with great pride and admiration that I nominate Abigail Hatfield for the John Graham 5 Star Award. Abigail is the embodiment of perseverance, courage, and unwavering dedication in the face of tremendous adversity.

A few years ago, Abigail was diagnosed with epilepsy, a life-altering condition that brought unexpected and significant challenges into her life.

At times, her seizures were severe enough to impact her daily routines and even threaten her ability to continue dancing—the very passion that defines her. For many, such a diagnosis could have marked the end of their dance journey. For Abigail, it became the beginning of a new chapter defined by strength, resilience, and determination.

Despite the physical, emotional, and mental toll of epilepsy, Abigail refused to let her diagnosis define or limit her. She demonstrated extraordinary courage by learning to live with her condition while continuing to pursue dance at a high level. She showed up to rehearsals with determination, worked tirelessly to rebuild her strength and confidence, and faced each challenge with grace far beyond her years. Her commitment to dance never wavered, even during the most difficult moments.

Abigail’s accomplishments since her diagnosis are a testament to her remarkable character. She has continued to train, perform, and grow as a dancer, proving not only her physical capability but also her incredible mental strength. She has earned the respect of her peers and instructors through her work ethic, positive attitude, and resilience.

More importantly, she has become an inspiration to others, demonstrating that obstacles do not have to define one’s future.

What makes Abigail truly deserving of the John Graham 5 Star Award is not just what she has achieved, but how she has achieved it. She has faced adversity with bravery, adapted with maturity, and persevered with an unbreakable spirit. She never allowed epilepsy to take away her identity as a dancer. Instead, she rose above it and continued to pursue her dreams with passion and determination.

Abigail Hatfield represents everything this award stands for. Her journey is one of courage, resilience, and triumph. She is not only an exceptional dancer but also an extraordinary individual whose strength inspires everyone around her.

As she ends her final season of dance, and moves forward to her next chapter in college this coming fall at the University of Dayton we are hopeful for an even brighter future for this courageous young lady!

It is an honor to nominate Abigail Hatfield for the John Graham 5 Star Award. -Coach Tara Taylor, Warrior Girls Elite

Please help us congratulate Abigail on this prestigious honor.
