💙📰What's the Scoop Saturday?📰💙

Although summer still has a few weeks to go, we’re happy to resume our weekly posts this week!

Today, we want to say a heartfelt thank you to the 23 people who signed up for the Scrappy Sewing with Patty Fundraiser! Your donations directly benefit our chapter, and thanks to you, we raised $460 to put back into blanket supplies.

These two quilts were made using Scrappy Sewing with Patty patterns! If you’ve made a quilt using one of the patterns, please share a photo in the comments—we’d love to see it!

💙Monthly Musings💙

We had a wonderful time at our August Monthly Work Day, welcoming both longtime friends and new faces! A heartfelt thank-you to everyone who brought beautiful blanket donations to our drop-off sites, as well as those who brought blankets during the event. Our mission truly takes the work of many hands, and we are so grateful for the incredible individuals and organizations who help make it possible.

Thank you for helping us wrap children in comfort, one blanket hug at a time.

💙Monthly Work Day Reminder 💙⭐Location Change! ⭐

It's almost time for our monthly work day with Dayton Project Linus! We will meet this coming Saturday, August 8th from 9 AM - 11:30 AM. For our Monthly Work Days for August, September, and October, we will be meeting at the 💥Bellbrook Presbyterian Church, 72 West Franklin Street, Bellbrook OH 45305.💥 Parking is available behind the church or in the funeral home parking lot right next door.

Bring your completed donation blankets, favorite beverage in a travel mug, and your latest blanket project to work on (crochet, knit, fleece, quilt, etc.). Don't have a current project? We will find a job for you - from prepping fleece for upcoming events to sorting and organizing our recent donations - come lend a hand and make a difference!

And as a reminder, you are welcome to drop-off your finished, handmade blankets during any of our events. You are welcome to stay for the entire event, but if your schedule only allows for a quick drop-off, that's fine too!

💙📰Monthly Musings📰💙

It’s been another wonderful month for Dayton Project Linus!

We made our monthly blanket deliveries to Ronald McDonald House and CARE House and were grateful to share blankets with participants at the Dayton Police Outdoor Youth Adventures Camp. Thank you to everyone who helped make these donations possible!

Our monthly workday was also a great success, with lots of beautiful blanket donations and plenty of helping hands.

Please note that the Lofino Plaza Community Room will be closed for renovations during August, September, and October. During those months, our Monthly Work Days will be held at:

What an incredible Project Linus workday last Saturday! We welcomed a record number of volunteers and processed an impressive number of beautiful handmade blankets ready to bring comfort to children in need.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who supports our mission in any way—whether you make blankets, pick up donations from drop-off sites, help with sorting and logistics, donate materials, or contribute behind the scenes. Every role matters, and together we're making a difference, one blanket at a time.

💙📰What's the Scoop Saturday?📰💙

Dayton Project Linus was honored to be part of a very special celebration recently. We had the privilege of presenting two camp-themed quilts to graduates of Camp Mariposa, a year-round mentoring program that these young adults committed to throughout their middle school and high school years.

These handmade quilts were created as tangible reminders of their accomplishments, perseverance, and the support they received along their journey.

As we move into the summer months, we will be changing our social media format from weekly posts to monthly updates. Thank you for your continued support of our mission to provide comfort to children in need. We look forward to connecting with you each month!

We’re excited to share that Dayton Project Linus has been selected as the June “Craft for a Cause” organization for the Greene County Public Library system!

We invite our amazing community of crafters, quilters, crocheters, knitters, and fleece blanket makers to help us provide comfort to children in need by creating a handmade blanket for a child from toddler through teen.

Accepted blanket types:
🧵 Quilts
🧶 Afghans
✂️ No-sew fleece blankets

Blanket guidelines:
✔️ New and handmade
✔️ Minimum size: 36” square
✔️ Maximum size: 50" x 70"

Completed blankets can be dropped off at any Greene County Public Library location through the end of June.
