Today, we remember those who lost their lives in the tragic B-52 crash at Edwards Air Force Base.

Our thoughts and prayers are with their families, friends, fellow service members, coworkers, and all who are grieving this loss.

As military families, we understand that every mission is supported by loved ones at home. We hold those affected close in our hearts and join our nation in honoring the lives of those who were lost.

Please keep everyone impacted by this tragedy in your prayers.

What a great weekend at the Dayton Air Show!

Although the thunderstorms cut our weekend a little short, Saturday gave us absolutely beautiful weather and a wonderful opportunity to connect with the community. We enjoyed meeting so many people, sharing information about Blue Star Mothers of America, and talking about our mission.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by our booth to say hello, learn more about our organization, or share their own stories with us. Those conversations are always one of the best parts of events like these.

A special thank you to all of our volunteers and mothers who gave their time over the weekend. We’d like to give a special shout-out to our Chapter President, Robin Bradley, who was there from start to finish, from setup to breakdown, and spent the entire weekend representing our chapter! We are so grateful for her leadership and commitment. Even with Mother Nature changing our plans, we had a fantastic experience and were honored to be part of this year’s Dayton Air Show. We’re already looking forward to next year!

It was a busy weekend for our chapter!

On Friday, while some of our members were preparing for the Air Show, we had the privilege of hosting a Veterans Luncheon at the VA. Veterans enjoyed a delicious meal from Lee’s Famous Recipe Chicken, a few rounds of Bingo, and plenty of prizes and giveaways.

As part of WDTN’s annual Day of Caring, members of the WDTN team joined us in serving our veterans and helped make the afternoon extra special. Chief Meteorologist Brian Davis had the honor of calling Bingo, which was a big hit! We are so grateful to the entire WDTN team for their time, enthusiasm, and willingness to give back to those who have served our country. They brought so much energy and fun to the day, and we truly enjoyed working alongside them.

Thank you to everyone who helped make this event a success and, most importantly, thank you to our veterans for allowing us to spend the afternoon with you!

Today, we remember.

Memorial Day is more than the start of summer or a long weekend. It is a time to pause, remember, and honor the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our nation.

As you spend time with family and friends today, please take a moment to remember the heroes who made those moments possible through their sacrifice and the Gold Star families who carry that sacrifice every day.

From all of us at Blue Star Mothers of America, Inc. OH3 chapter, thank you to those who gave everything for our freedoms. We remember and honor you always.

Rocky’s Run was another awesome success! Even the rain couldn’t keep people away this Memorial Day weekend; so many came out to run, show support, and remember our nation’s heroes. 🇺🇸

Our chapter was proud to attend the 14th Annual Rocky’s Run for Freedom, with our President Robin and 3rd Vice President Jeannine representing us.

Held in honor of their son, CPL Paul W. Zanowick II, AKA “Rocky,” Rocky’s Run is also a tribute to all fallen heroes. Through this special event, the Zanowick family continues to touch so many lives while raising funds that support active duty service members and veterans.

Paul and Nanette are truly some of the most caring people you’ll ever meet. Despite experiencing such a heartbreaking loss, they continue to give back to others with kindness, strength, and compassion that inspires everyone around them.

Thank you to everyone who came out to support this special event and help keep the memory and sacrifice of our nation’s heroes alive.
