Wee Elks Family - PLEASE READ

We are sending this email to inform you of some upcoming changes to the Wee Elks 2025 season. Effective January 1st, the Wee Elks will no longer be a part of the Gem City Youth Conference. Rather, we will be joining the Western Ohio Junior Football Conference or WOJFC https://www.wojfc.net/

Our board came to this decision after in-depth evaluation of both leagues and reflection on the current and future goals of our organization and its members. We believe this move is in the best long-term interest of the Wee Elks. This decision was not come to easily as we have valued our time in the GCYC and the opportunities it has provided for our athletes and their families.

The WOJFC is currently a league of 15 teams (soon to be 16 teams with us) and will allow our athletes to gain more robust experiences and face additional competition to enhance their growth. Additionally, the majority of the teams in the GWOC (our middle school and high school league) are affiliated with the WOJFC.

While most members of our organization will not notice any major changes (other than playing new teams), there will inevitably be some change that comes with the transition to a new league. We sincerely appreciate your understanding as we make this transition. We also appreciate the GCYC and its leadership for our years in the league and wish it success in the future.

There will be no effect on registration if you have already registered for the 2025 season. If you have not registered, be sure to take advantage of our early bird special which ends December 31st. Visit weeelks.com to register.

We are also in the process of starting a new page for the Centerville Wee Elks Football and Cheer. We will send a follow up email with the link to "follow" the new page once it is complete. Please be on the lookout.

Thank you and don't forget to cheer on our varsity team tonight as they take on one of their biggest rivals, Wayne!

Centerville Football Family,

The varsity football team had another good week last week in the Regional Quarterfinals of the OHSAA playoffs. We were able to beat GWOC opponent, Springboro, for our last home game of the season. The game saw great plays and great players all over. It was an exciting night for Centerville Football and we greatly appreciate you all for having our back out there. Please enjoy these highlights of the game, from our great partner, Storied Rivals. They did an amazing job of documenting the great job that our players, coaches, and support staff did Friday night. You can even see and hear the tremendous support we get from The Herd!

We hope you'll join on us on the road for the Regional Semifinals, tonight, at Springfield High School. We square off against a very good Dublin Coffman team and we are incredibly grateful for the opportunity to still be playing and still be together as a team. The game kicks off at 7:00pm and we hope to have as much of Centerville there as possible!

Thank you again for all of the support, all season, and Go Elks!

Sincerely,

Coach Ullery
