"This is my CPAFMA story.

Connections. Connections is what CPAFMA is all about. For me it's more than just connections on a business level as I've made long lasting friendships since the beginning of my participation in CPAFMA in 2003. 2003 was the first CPAFMA conference I went to in Saint Louis, I haven't missed a conference since! I've been involved with CPAFMA over the years by sourcing members with risk management tools via written articles and webinars. In 2008 after a change in bylaws in the local chapters I became vice president of the Northeast Chapter. In 2010 I became the president of the northeast chapter and served until stepping down in June of 2023. In 2009 and 2023, I was the honored recipient of the CPAFMA Distinguished Service Award. (Huge THANK YOU to the Board of Directors of CPAFMA) It was a great ride! But we have only just begun! ..."

CPAFMA is saddened to announce the passing of one of its founding members, Donald Scholl. Don created the Association for Accounting Administration in 1984, along with industry consultants Clifford Brownstein and Gene Cohen, and served as its first president from 1984-1986. He continued to serve the Association as an Advisory Board Member through his retirement in 2009, setting up what would become today’s CPAFMA.
