Assist the Officer Foundation

Assist the Officer Foundation ATO helps law enforcement families through catastrophic circumstances brought about by accident, illness, or injury.

Since its creation in 1999, the ATO has provided assistance to officers and their families who were faced with any number of different life-altering situations. There was no resource or organization in place to assist officers who were facing devastating situations until ATO was formed. Assistance is primarily financial, but has extended to other support including information, referrals, and couns

eling. In 2004, the Foundation launched a first of its kind confidential counseling service, exclusively for Dallas police officers. The stress of everyday life can take a toll on almost anyone – add to that the danger and stress of being a police officer – and sometimes life can be overwhelming. Our counseling program was designed for police officers, by police officers and professionals working together. ATO is a tax exempt, non-profit organization under the provisions of the Internal Revenue Code 501(c)3.

**Stand with Sgt. Kristin Alvarado and Her Family**

Thank you for standing with the first responder community during this incredibly difficult time.

The Assist the Officer Foundation is accepting donations to support Dallas Police Sergeant Kristin Alvarado and her family following the sudden and heartbreaking loss of her husband, Anthony Alvarado, who passed away after suffering a brain aneurysm.

Sgt. Alvarado has dedicated her career to protecting children and serving our community. She currently supervises the Dallas Police Department's Internet Crimes Against Children Unit and serves on the North Texas Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force. The North Texas ICAC Task Force, led by the Dallas Police Department, serves 112 counties across more than 96,000 square miles and partners with over 250 law enforcement agencies in the fight against child exploitation.

Anthony was equally dedicated to serving others. For years, he generously volunteered his time with the Assist the Officer Foundation Cook Team, helping prepare meals and support fundraising events for injured officers, fallen first responders, and families facing unimaginable hardships. Time and again, Anthony showed up to help others in their time of need.

Today, it is our turn to help his family.

Your donation will provide direct financial assistance to Sgt. Alvarado and her family as they navigate the difficult days ahead. Every contribution, regardless of size, is a meaningful expression of support, love, and gratitude.

**Please Note:** All funds raised through this campaign will go directly to support Sgt. Kristin Alvarado and her family.

Thank you for your compassion, generosity, and for helping us honor Anthony's legacy of service to others: https://host.nxt.blackbaud.com/donor-form/?svcid=renxt&formId=0eae0e47-46d7-4e60-a8ae-7a89f13bfe89&envid=p-gB-L8HaELkackZf4LJrg1Q&zone=usa&utm_source=qr_code&fbclid=IwY2xjawSKcghleHRuA2FlbQIxMQBzcnRjBmFwcF9pZBAyMjIwMzkxNzg4MjAwODkyAAEeckDqi-N2DV0dmR2GKl9VV04GoIdEYwLNp8uXJEqLiRKgWBjwwRkj1dNaM7c_aem_wgCeNS5DQScPzLiUZYtjhg

Today, members of the Assist the Officer Foundation and the Dallas Police Association FOP 716 were proud to participate in the Special Olympics Fire Truck Pull.

Following the event, our volunteer cook team fired up the grills and served hamburgers and hot dogs to the athletes, participants, families, and guests.

We are honored to support an organization that celebrates determination, teamwork, and the incredible achievements of these athletes. Thank you to everyone who helped make this event a success!
