AIA Dallas AIA Dallas, the sixth largest chapter of The American Institute of Architects, advances the transformational power of architecture.

Sarah Kahn, CEO of Housing Forward NTX, and Phill Geheb, SVP of Matthews and board member of Housing Forward, will present an informative morning session about their collaborative approach to homelessness and Proposition A on the November ballot. The AIA Dallas Emerging Professionals Network awards the “Emerging Professional Friendly” status to firms that display an outstanding commitment to the development of their emerging professional staff. An emerging professional is defined by the AIA as a student, recent graduate, candidate on the path to licensure, and architect licensed 10 years or less. All architecture firms that have an office in the AIA Dallas or AIA Northeast Texas region and have firm employees who are AIA members are eligible. This is an excellent opportunity for firms in Dallas to showcase their commitment to emerging professionals!

Recipients will be recognized and celebrated at our annual Holiday Party and Chapter Awards on Thursday, December 10.

The Technology in Architectural Practice (TAP) committee invites you to explore the present and future impact of AI on the AEC industry—where we are today, where we may be headed, and how the profession could evolve along the way.

Panelists Boon Bowling, GPRS Reality Capture; Joe Soliz, Digital Conditions; and Moderator
Tania Madah, AIA, Lean Architect, Chair of Technology in Architectural Practice (TAP) Committee, will share their optimism, their concerns, and how they see AI transforming design, collaboration, and practice.

This discussion will also look beyond the technology and ask how architects and design professionals can prepare for these changes. As tools evolve faster than ever, community becomes increasingly important—not only for learning new technologies, but for sharing experiences, challenging ideas, and collectively navigating what comes next.
