We work with youth to channel their voice and creativity into shaping their best lives and a better world. Throughout our 30+ year history of innovation, Big Thought has become a national model in arts education, out of school time systems, summer learning and juvenile justice intervention. Now we’re one of six community partnerships in the U.S. helping scale national best practices in Social and Emotional Learning (SEL).

Big Thought is proud to be part of the GE Aerospace Foundation’s $1 million investment in the Dallas-Fort Worth workforce through "Lifting Futures", connecting students with manufacturing training programs and career opportunities.

In 2027, this initiative is expected to benefit more than 1,100 people across the Metroplex! Alongside Dallas College, Tarrant County College, The Manufacturing Institute, and Hire Heroes USA, we’re helping build a stronger, more inclusive aerospace workforce.

Big Thought’s Design Thinking Cohort invites young people ages 14–24 to explore real challenges, think creatively and build problem-solving skills alongside others.

📅 Oct. 27 and Nov. 10, 2026
⏰ 4:30–6 p.m. | Virtual

Participants will receive a design thinking microcredential. Attend both sessions, totaling three hours, and receive a $75 stipend.

From Dallas to the Getty Center, Big Thought is helping shape the national conversation on creative learning. 💡

Earlier this month, Vincent Coronado and LeAnn Binford represented Big Thought at the Getty Creative Engagement Forum in Los Angeles, joining arts education leaders from across the country to explore how creative learning can amplify youth voices.

Vincent brought Creative Solutions into the conversation on arts programming beyond the classroom. LeAnn moderated a panel on partnerships for classroom arts integration and helped shape the forum through planning sessions over the past year.

We’re proud to contribute our experience, learn from peers and help advance opportunities for young people to create, build skills and be heard.

Know an artist who loves telling stories through their work?

Dallas Area Habitat for Humanity is seeking local artists to help create a one-of-a-kind Heritage Museum for Rock the Block 2026. Artists will reimagine doors as creative expressions of what "home" means to them, helping bring local history and community stories to life.

Stipends are available, and these pieces will be featured during the event and across Dallas Habitat's channels.

Big Thought is partnering with Dallas Area Habitat for Humanity for Rock the Block, a weeklong event wrapping up with a free Community Block Party on Oct. 24!

Enjoy music, food, games and more as we celebrate Joppa Circle’s residents, history and future and Dallas Habitat’s 40 years of progress. Find Big Thought at the Kid Zone, where young people can create, explore and bring their ideas to life!
