We have some exciting news about Once Upon a Month. 📚

As we approach the 10-year mark for Once Upon a Month and our goal of distributing 1 million books to North Texas children, the program is now fully subscribed.

Families who are already registered will continue to receive their free monthly books. New registrations will be processed at a later date.

Thank you to every family, donor and supporter who has made this program possible. Nearly a decade of putting books in the hands of North Texas children—and we are just getting started.

Today is the first day of early voting in Texas—and we want to hear from you. 🗳️

We spoke with Dallas voter Devon about her civic engagement experience—from registering to vote to when she prefers to cast her ballot to the issues that matter most to her community.

Hearing directly from voters like Devon is exactly why civic engagement matters. Every voice shapes the future of North Texas.

Early voting runs October 19 through October 30. Polls are open 7 AM to 7 PM. Election Day is November 3.

STEM Fest 2026 was one for the books. 💙

Last month, 500 sixth graders from Mesquite ISD spent the day at the Perot Museum of Nature and Science for hands-on science, technology, engineering and math. The energy in the building was unforgettable.

80 volunteers showed up to make it happen. More than 500 gift bags with STEM career booklets were donated so students could take the inspiration home.

Sparking an interest in STEM today prepares North Texas students for good jobs tomorrow. When students are ready for success after high school, families and communities move forward together.

Teens United has spots available for our Meal Pack Party—and we want your teen there!

On Saturday, November 14, teen volunteers will come together in a high-energy assembly line to pack 30,000 nutritious meals that will be donated to North Texas families at our Jungle Bells event. Think funnel stations, heat sealers, scales and boxes—all set to great music and good vibes.

Every meal packed moves a North Texas family toward food access, educational success and financial stability.
