It is with a heavy heart that the LEAGUE DFW Board joins the LEAGUE National Board in mourning the loss of Frank Duracher. He passed away on Wednesday, April 27, 2022 from Kidney Cancer. Frank fought valiantly for three years and ultimately succumbed to this terrible disease. Words cannot express the hole that is left in the hearts of everyone that knew him, interacted with him, and learned from him. Frank was a quiet person who meticulously managed the finances of our National organization and supported other ERGs with their finances. You never would have known through his quiet demeanor that he had a zest for life. He was passionate and vocal about LEAGUE and the LGBTQ+ community. Frank would get fired up about the injustice around the lack of equity for the community, let alone within the human race. Frank loved numbers and the clarity they provided, but he also had a love of Star Wars and Disney. He was all about family, being an son, uncle, and a husband to Scott.

We have shared our support and love to Scott Duracher and Frank’s family during this time. Services were held this past Sunday, May 1st in Lawrenceville, GA. LEAGUE members and AT&T employees were there to send him off properly.

In honor of Frank’s service as CFO for over 10 years and his extensive support of educating LGBTQ+ youth, the LEAGUE Foundation is naming a scholarship in his honor. The Frank L. Duracher Memorial Scholarship will honor his support for LGBTQ+ graduating highs school seniors as they pursue the next step in their education.
