This July, advocates learned that CDC will not renew PS21-2102, a funding stream that currently supports HIV prevention services led by 96 community-based organizations across the U.S. According to analysis from amfAR, this could result in an estimated 1,993 additional HIV cases over ten years that could otherwise have been prevented, with more than $1 billion in associated treatment costs. This , we demand that the Administration restore federal investment in community-led HIV prevention.
