DFW Refugee Outreach Services DFWROS is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit supporting refugees and low in income families in DFW with cash assistance, education resources, and mentorship.

DFW Refugee Outreach Services is a non-profit organization founded in 2016 to serve refugee families in the Dallas Fort Worth area. Our mission at DFW Refugee Outreach Services is to provide mentoring and basic necessities to refugee families based on their individual needs, helping them settle in and become self-relia

nt. We take pride in serving each family with equal attention and care and treating them with dignity and respect so they feel welcome. Many of these families have suffered emotional distress and trauma, and arrive in DFW disoriented and unsure about their situation. Our approach, therefore, is to give each family our personal attention by showing them how to navigate their new world rather than only supplying basic necessities and leaving them to fend for themselves. We find this method to be highly effective, and have personally witnessed refugee families flourish with our guidance and care. The best day of the year is here. 🌙✨

Today is the Day of Arafah — a day of mercy, forgiveness, dua, and closeness to Allah.

The Prophet ﷺ said:
‘There is no day on which Allah frees more people from the Fire than the Day of Arafah.’ (Muslim)

Take a moment today to make sincere dua, seek forgiveness, remember Allah often, and pray for those struggling around the world. 🤍

Dua to recite today:
‘La ilaha illAllahu wahdahu la sharika lah, lahul mulku wa lahul hamd, wa huwa ‘ala kulli shay’in qadeer.’

May Allah accept our fasting, duas, charity, and عبادات during these blessed days of Dhul Hijjah. Ameen. 🤲

At today’s ESL class, our students surprised us with a beautiful potluck to thank our team for teaching them English. 💙

These women have been through so much — adjusting to a new country, raising families, working hard, overcoming language barriers, and carrying struggles most people never see. Yet despite everything, they continue to show up with kindness, generosity, and love.

Moments like this remind us that DFWROS is more than a program — it’s a community. We are so grateful for these incredible women and honored to be part of their journey. 🫶

Her husband has been in ICE Detention for several months. She is selling delicious bread with love but more so with Hope.
