Making Northern Kentucky home for refugees and asylees since 2021

07/28/2026

Kentucky Refugee Ministries (KRM-Covington) is dedicated to providing refugees with resettlement services and access to community resources to help them successfully integrate into our community. They get some of the resources they provide from MP, and we were so thankful to have their team on-site to help process some of those resources this week. Thank you for your partnership and your work to help people across Kentucky!

It may be a rainy day, but we are excited to launch our Summer Youth Soccer program this evening! This is the second year that summer soccer has received funding support from the Celanese Asian Collaboration & Empowerment (ACE) ERG.

Last week, volunteers from Celanese packed and delivered kits so that our youth athletes have the supplies they need for a month of fun! Questions about how to support our summer soccer program? DM us or email [email protected]

Stop by and see us by Pipers Ice Cream on this beautifully sunny NKY Pride day! We’ll have resources on how you can join us to rebuild home for refugees and immigrants in Northern Kentucky.

KRM-Covington stands in pride with our LGBTQ neighbors here and abroad—no one should be persecuted for who they are or who they love. 🏳️‍🌈 🌍

We’re currently seeking volunteer soccer coaches to support a summer youth soccer program. KRM Summer Soccer provides another safe, welcoming space for kids to build community, stay active, and simply enjoy being kids.

We’re looking for individuals who:
• Can commit ~1–2 hours per week for approximately 8 weeks this summer
• Tuesdays June 9th - July 28: 6-7:30 pm
• Bill Cappel Soccer field, Covington, KY
• Enjoy working with youth
• Bring a positive, encouraging attitude

Coaching experience is a plus, but not required. All materials will be provided. Volunteer orientation and onboarding are required.

The program is back for its second year thanks to generous funding by the Celanese (Florence) Asian Collaboration and Empowerment ERG! We’re grateful for their continued support of the immigrant clients we serve.

Moments like these—working to make our new neighbors legal permanent residents on their path to be new Americans—is why we do what we do.

With support of our community and vibrant partners like the New Americans Initiative, we can continue transforming newcomers into neighbors.
