NORTHSHORE FOLLOWERS!!

I wanted to share an amazing person and business I had the pleasure of working with today. Happy Dogs Run Mobile Dog Gym, LLC

Mr. Aruther truly cares about the dogs. He makes his own treats to help the dogs so they are super healthy, he has multiple certifications specializing in helping your dogs.

One of my dogs was a little more nervous with it being her first time on the treadmill and he truly went above and beyond to make sure that she was confident and comfortable before moving on to the next step. He took his time, gave her pets, kisses, treats, etc. He even allowed me to try my second dog on the treadmill with out hesitation, which was not on the appointment for today.

On top of all of this he takes time out of his day and volunteers his time and his treadmills at our local shelter. Allowing shelter dogs to get some much needed energy out!

He offers weekly packages as well as drop in visits which is fantastic with the cold weather coming!

MISSING! Help bring Cleo home!!

"Help needed. My chihuahua Cleo got out of my house somehow and I am unable to find her. When I left for the store she was inside safe and sound and when I came home she was gone. The only way for her to get out of the doggy door is for someone to push the door in to let her out. Please if you see a very small brown and white Chihuahua please contact me. She is very sweet and our family is lost without her. We are on Joans Street in Mandeville so she would have been in that area. Please help us by sharing so we can bring our sweet girl home. She is microchipped as well."

We met the sweetest soul at the shelter yesterday. 🥹

One look at him and Caroline and I both knew we HAD to help him! He is a young English bulldog mix. As you can see he is severely emaciated. We are assuming he is going to be heartworm positive and we know we will have a long medical ride ahead of us. We are hoping to find a medical foster for this precious boy to nurse him back to health. Once we pull him we will need support for his medical care, for now we are accepting pledges that can be donated to us once he is in our care or can be donated if another rescue is able to help him.

As soon as I crouched down he was ready to crawl in my lap and snuggle. We expect he will also be dog friendly as he walked by other dogs barking he just wagged his tail! I know that he will be forever grateful for any care we can give him!

Meet Missy! STILL IN NEED 9/30

Missy was an owner surrender to the shelter after living in the same home for 13 years they decided they were allergic to her.

- 13 years young

- no other noticeable health concerns noted
- vaccinated
- still has a TON of life left in her. I met her personally at the shelter yesterday and was jumping at the kennel door to get out.
- housetrained

2 8/9 month old beagle mix puppies need a minimum 2 week foster while they heal from surgery. Both are getting spayed, 1 is getting a potential eye removal.

No special treatment or care other then making sure they don't rip open their stitches. Kennel, food, anything you need provided.

Meet Daisy!

Daisy came to us from a small rural rescue partner. She was severely injured and required an FHO surgery with the previous rescue. Unfortunately that rescue didn't have the means to contuine care for miss Daisy so we took her on.

- 5 years old
- female
- not yet spayed (has to be eagle eyed monitored when outside)
- Dog friendly
- kid unknown (but with her personality we don't think she would be an issue)
- cat unknown (but with her personality we don't think she would he an issue)
- around 7 lbs

Daisy does potentially need another surgery and/or rehab to fix her legs from her injury she endured. We aren't 100% sure If it will be another FHO or a potential amputation, she may not need either. She currently is doing fantastic with both of her injured legs and may not need surgery at all but rehab instead. The foster/foster to adopt will need go be willing to drive Daisy to rehab appointments and potentially contuine light rehab at home.

As of now Daisy doesn't need any rehabbing or extra care.

Note from the foster: Daisy is pretty easy. She's kennel trained and potty trained. Prefers to go outside but will use potty pads if it isn't an option. She's gotten along great with all our dogs, although her interaction style can be a little 'in your face'. She enjoys car rides, sun bathing, sharing a blanket with her person, and sleeping in the big bed. Listens well and knows her name, has good recall. She can do short walks and rides well in the stroller when she gets tired. We're working on building up strength in the FHO leg. She's very quiet in the house.

Remember Miss Flower?!

We just wanted to make a small appreciation post about her to remind people that seniors are AMAZING!
Even at 18 years old the vet still gave her YEARS left, you heard that right YEARS!
Can she hear? Not really, but sometimes we think it's selective hearing. And at her age who can blame her
Can she see? Kinda...
Can she eat hard food/treats? Absolutely not! She has a whopping 2 teeth and no bottom jaw.
Is she the sweetest, most lively little 3 lb chihuahua you'll ever meet? ABSOLUTELY!

Miss Flower is available for adoption to a home who just wants to give an old girl a place to rest her head!

Rescue is located in st tammany parish

We aren't sure if this pretty lady is a Great Pyrenees mix or a English Cream Golden Retriever but either way she needs out of the shelter BEFORE 5/25/2023 or she will be euthanized! We CAN NOT help her unless someone steps up.

I will be updating the post as I get information on her.

Remeber the family group we have been posting about? Here is another one!

Meet Chase!

Chase and the rest of family came to us during a hoarding case. All but Chase and Ryder (posted previously) have been adopted.

Note from foster: "Chase is looking for his furever home. He is a big heart wrapped up in a little 10 lb. fur body, he is around 16 weeks old. He is truly adorable and an absolute sweetheart with a wagging tail that rarely stops. He has made himself at home from the day I got him. He’s a little shy with new people in the beginning but warms up quickly. He plays hard with his foster brothers (Gizmo is a rat terrier mix and Schroeder is terrier mix weighing about 12 lbs) and his cousins (my daughter’s 3 dogs -8 to 12 lbs). We are working on potty training. He will use a puppy pad 99% of the time and is learning to ask to go out. He’s doing well with his kennel training, staying in there when I leave the house, when taking naps and at night. He loves to play with his toys with the other dogs and by himself. He knows his name will generally come when I call him. He will be a great addition to a puppy loving family!"

Chase is expected to be under 20lbs. He is a hefty boy with a short stature.
