🐮🐷🐑🐐🐰🐔 2027 LIVESTOCK EXHIBITORS — MARK YOUR CALENDARS! 🍀📅

The 2027 St. Tammany Parish 4-H/FFA Possession & Validation Deadlines are here! Please save these important dates and plan ahead for the upcoming livestock show season. Validations will operate a little differently this year. A change from previous years was passed through the advisory process is that there must be a 4-H Agent or FFA Advisor present during the 2027 LSU AgCenter Livestock Show Animal Validations.

We will be sending out Validation Days that will be held at the Covington Fairgrounds for those who will be showing through the 4-H Office. FFA Advisors are able to request validation kits from the 4-H Office and handle the validation process at their schools and turn in the validation envelope and $7.00 fee per animal to the 4-H Office by the validation deadline date.

In either case, a 4-H Agent or FFA Advisor must be present when DNA samples are collected from animals during the validation process this year.

🚨 IMPORTANT FOR ALL EXHIBITORS!

Please contact the St. Tammany Parish 4-H Office at 985-875-2635 and let us know what species and how many animals you plan to exhibit.

We need this information in advance so we can request the correct number of validation tags from our District Manager. Please let us know your plans as soon as possible, even if your validation deadline is still a few months away.

Today we celebrate all the dads, grandfathers, stepdads, uncles, mentors, and father figures who lead by example, encourage curiosity, and support the next generation every step of the way.

Thank you for teaching life skills, cheering from the sidelines, lending a helping hand, and inspiring young people to learn, grow, and serve their communities.

4-H University is coming up the week of June 23 – 26, 2026. Join Louisiana 4-H in supporting Environmental Awareness & Stewardship efforts by donating to the annual Change for a Change fundraiser and the opportunity for the Southeast Region (St. Tammany Parish) to make an impact.

The Heart of Service Award will once again be presented at 4-H University to the region that raises the highest total through Change for a Change. Online donations are open now through Wednesday, June 24, 2026.

Thank you to everyone who attended last night’s St. Tammany Parish School Board Meeting in support of the St. Tammany Parish 4-H / FFA Junior Livestock Program.

Your presence, encouragement, and continued advocacy mean so much to our youth, families, volunteers, and agricultural community. This program helps young people build responsibility, leadership, work ethic, and confidence through hands-on livestock projects, and your support helps keep those opportunities strong.

We are grateful for a community that shows up for its youth and believes in the value of agricultural education.

Please join us in congratulating our very own Mrs. Amy, who was recognized today in Baton Rouge for 25 years of dedicated service with the LSU AgCenter and 4-H. Her commitment and dedication continue to make a lasting impact each and every day.

We had an overwhelming response from our 4-H / FFA members wanting to participate in next week’s School Board Meeting, and we absolutely love seeing so many youth eager to represent our program! 💚🍀💙💛

To make the selection process as fair as possible, we created a wheel online and let it spin!
