That's a wrap on week one of St. Tammany Health System's Health Tech Connect Camp, a partnership with Southeastern Louisiana University to introduce future career possibilities in healthcare! The camp includes CPR and First Aid training, interactions with panels of healthcare professionals, and hands-on learning for students.
This initiative would not be possible without the corporate donors who funded the programming for this year's camp! We'd like to send a huge thank you to Kaia Simmons and Atmos Energy who spent time with the campers at their closing ceremony discussing paving the path for their futures! Thank you to Lavigne Oil Company and Cleco for your tremendous support of this year's camp!

On behalf of our Foundation and St. Tammany Cancer Center - A Campus of Ochsner Medical Center, we would like to send our deepest gratitude and appreciation to our friends at St. Timothy on the Northshore for their recent donation of 1,600 cans of tuna and chicken to support our cancer center's Therapeutic Food Pantry. ๐Ÿงก

We are so thankful for community partners like St. Timothy who partner with us to better care for our patients and their families.

Welcome back to ๐…๐ฎ๐ง๐๐ž๐ ๐…๐ซ๐ข๐๐š๐ฒ, a series where we share recent programs and services funded through St. Tammany Health Foundation, thanks to YOU, our donors! ๐Ÿ’š

At the beginning of 2026, our Foundation funded St. Tammany Health System's membership for the national Walk With A Doc program. ๐‘พ๐’‚๐’๐’Œ ๐’˜๐’Š๐’•๐’‰ ๐’‚ ๐‘ซ๐’๐’„ is a non-profit organization that inspires communities through movement and conversation, with the goal of making health and wellness accessible to all.

The program offers a simple, sustainable approach to addressing social determinants of health by encouraging healthcare providers to swap their white coats for t-shirts and sneakers and connect with patients in a more personal, meaningful way.

St. Tammany Health System's program launched in January 2026. Learn more about the program and how you can RSVP here: https://walkwithadoc.org/join-a-walk/locations/mandeville-louisiana/.

๐ŸŽจ ๐–๐ž๐ฌ๐ฌ ๐…๐จ๐ซ๐ž๐ฆ๐š๐ง was born and raised in Louisiana and attended Louisiana Tech University where he studied Photography and took his first painting and design classes. He has been working as a professional artist now for over 22 years.

Wess is an acrylic painter whose subject matter varies greatly. His painting style was rooted in realism but has stretched and expanded so far you'd swear that it's all abstract. His paintings display a love for bold black lines, interesting textures, and bright primary colors. He is inspired by the infinite configuration of paint on canvas. We are thrilled to have his pieces on display, and you may contact him about his work at www.WessForeman.com, (985) 750-3529 or [email protected].

๐ŸŽจ ๐ƒ๐จ๐ง๐ง๐š ๐†๐š๐ซ๐๐ง๐ž๐ซ grew up in Chicago and moved to Louisiana with her husband and became a high school science teacher. It was there that she honed her drawing skills. After raising three children, she became interested in ballroom dancing, learning to play the piano and cello, and taking art lessons.

For Donna, painting is like a good book that can bring you to and through things you may only imagine. She is often compelled to paint a subject because of the shapes, colors, composition, or theme which inspires her to bring her brush to canvas. We are honored to have a few of her pieces on display, and you may contact her about any of her work at (985) 246-9610 or [email protected].
