Special Olympics Louisiana offers year-round programs for over 13,000 children and adults with intellectual disabilities in all 64 parishes with the help of 12,000 volunteers. We have health, education, leadership, family, training and sports programs for people beginning at age 2 and there is no upper age limit.

Inclusion is Growing at St. Martinville Senior High School!

Students at St. Martinville Senior High School are showing what inclusion looks like in action! Students recently pledged to celebrate differences, show kindness and respect, stand up against bullying, and create a school where everyone feels welcome and valued.

Through twice-weekly FLEX Hour activities, students have opportunities to participate in Unified activities that bring students with and without intellectual disabilities together.

One favorite so far? Just Dance on the Xbox! Students are laughing, dancing, making new friends, and enjoying time together.

We're proud of the students and staff for making inclusion part of their everyday school experience, and we can't wait to see what activities come next!

What a great day on the court! 🏓

We had an amazing time bringing community together for a fun-filled pickleball fundraiser alongside our partners at Engel & Volkers - New Orleans!

From friendly competition to meaningful connections, the event was a wonderful reminder of what can happen when great people come together for a great cause.

A huge thank-you Engel & Volkers - New Orleans , everyone who participated, and all who supported the event. Your generosity and enthusiasm helped make the day more beautiful!

Hannah, our LETR Athlete Representative, proudly represented Special Olympics Louisiana at the Louisiana Chief of Police Conference in Lake Charles! She shared her personal story, educated law enforcement leaders about LETR, and championed inclusion. We’re so proud of Hannah and grateful to everyone helping us build stronger, more inclusive communities across Louisiana!

A clearer vision for our athletes! 👓

Thanks to the Lions Clubs International Foundation Opening Eyes® program, Special Olympics Louisiana athletes are receiving new eyeglasses to help them see more clearly and shine both on and off the field! 🏅

We’re grateful for the generous donations from our sponsors, Safilo who provides frames, and OneSight EssilorLuxottica Foundation who provides lenses, so that athletes receive appropriate eyewear to succeed.

Every athlete deserves the opportunity to see their brightest future!
