LETR is changing the future for people with intellectual disabilities and lighting the way for acceptance and inclusion.

🎨✨ It's time to spark your creativity!

Special Olympics Louisiana athletes you can submit a design for the Law Enforcement Torch Run T-Shirt Design Contest! Your shirt design could be worn by officers, athletes and community partners across the state!

Athletes can submit a design on their own or choose to collaborate with a law enforcement officer, first responder, or Unified Partner. Bailey and Cole took advantage of the opportunity to team up with officers from the Covington Police Department , where they brainstormed ideas, shared their creativity, and brought their vision to life through teamwork and inclusion.

A special thank you to the Covington Police Department for hosting our athletes and creating a space where meaningful connections and creative collaboration can thrive.

Whether you work independently or partner with a community champion, we encourage all athletes to get involved and showcase their creativity. We hope to see many more creative submissions and collaborations from across Louisiana!

A strike for inclusion!

🎳💙 The annual New Orleans Guardian Bowl brings our community together to raise funds and awareness for individuals with intellectual disabilities while creating opportunities to celebrate inclusion, unity, and the power of sports.

Thank you to our amazing community partners: Louisiana State Troopers Association Troop B, FOP Crescent City Lodge #2, Jefferson FOP Lodge #12, Delta Hayride Association, Ochsner Health, and Keesler Federal Credit Union for joining us and supporting our athletes.

A special thank you to the Louisiana Hospitality Foundation for serving lunch, and to Glen Armantrout for his leadership and support. We are also grateful to our Angel Supporters from Acme Oyster House, Drago's , American Seafood, A La Carte Foods, and Parkway Bakery & Tavern.

National First Responders Day 🚓🚑🚒

Today, we proudly recognize and thank the first responders who answer the call every day with courage, compassion, and dedication. Whether protecting our communities, responding to emergencies, or lending a hand when it's needed most, their service makes a difference in countless lives.

At Special Olympics Louisiana, we are especially grateful for the law enforcement officers, firefighters, EMS personnel, and first responders who go above and beyond in their support of our athletes. Through the Law Enforcement Torch Run and year-round involvement, they help create opportunities, build inclusion, and champion the abilities of individuals with intellectual disabilities.

Thank you to the Grant Parish Sheriff's Office Cook Team for providing lunch at the Special Olympics Louisiana State Horseshoe Competition! ❤️🍔🏅

As athletes from across the state came together to compete, collaborate, celebrate achievements, and showcase their skills, your generosity helped make the day even more special.

We are incredibly grateful for the continued support of the Grant Parish Sheriff's Office through the Law Enforcement Torch Run, participation in fundraising events, and the dedicated leadership of Pam Gilcrease on our Executive Council. Your commitment to our athletes and mission helps create opportunities for inclusion, friendship, and success year-round.

🥎💚 A huge thank you to the Louisiana Wildlife Agents Association and Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries for providing lunch to our athletes during the Special Olympics Louisiana State Softball Tournament on Saturday! We are so proud of our members of the Law Enforcement Torch Run for making competitions special for our athletes.

We are also grateful to St. Martin Parish Sheriff's Office for helping prepare and serve meals, ensuring our athletes, coaches, and volunteers were well taken care of throughout the day. Your dedication and teamwork helped make the event run smoothly and made our athletes feel truly special.

Thank you to all of our LETR members who continue to go above and beyond for our athletes. Your commitment, service, and support are what make moments like these possible. 💙🔥

A huge thank you to the Baton Rouge Police Department for hosting another incredible Cover the Cruiser(Bearcat) at LSU this weekend! We loved spending the day with fans, sharing the mission of Special Olympics Louisiana, and raising support for our amazing athletes.

A special thank you to everyone who stopped by to make a donation, learn more about our movement, and help us create awareness. And of course, we were thrilled to be joined by a very special guest, Mike the Tiger! 💜💛🐯

🌊💚 The Green Wave rolled up a big win over Memphis on Friday night, and we like to think having Special Olympics Louisiana on campus brought a little extra luck! 💚🌊

A huge thank you to the Tulane University Police Department for hosting our Cover the Cruiser fundraiser and helping raise funds and awareness for Special Olympics Louisiana athletes with intellectual disabilities. We had an incredible time on campus meeting fans, connecting with the Tulane community, and sharing the impact of inclusion through sport.

Every donation helps provide year-round sports training, competition, health initiatives, and leadership opportunities for our athletes. Thank you to everyone who stopped by, made a contribution, and learned more about our mission.
