🎺🔥 What a Way to Close Out the Year! 🔥🎺

The Covington High Brass Band wrapped up an incredible season this past Saturday with the honor of opening for the talented Myles Berry Quartet at the historic Dew Drop Jazz and Social Hall.

This performance was the perfect finale to a year filled with outstanding achievements and unforgettable memories. These dedicated student musicians have represented Covington High with excellence, earning:

🥉 3rd Place in the Advanced Division of the Jazz and Heritage Foundation’s Class Got Brass competition

🥇 1st Place at the 44th Annual Alcorn State University Jazz Festival

From competitions and festivals to community performances and special events, this ensemble has continued to raise the bar while showcasing the talent, dedication, and spirit of the Covington High band program.

We are incredibly proud of this remarkable group of young musicians and excited to see what the future holds. Congratulations on an outstanding season, and thank you for representing The Pride and Roar of the Northshore with class, passion, and excellence every step of the way!

📣🎶 BIG NEWS FOR THE PRIDE AND ROAR OF THE NORTHSHORE! 🎶📣

The Covington High School Marching Lions are excited to officially welcome our new Director of Bands, Mr. Anthony Smith, and our new Assistant Director of Bands, Mr. Desi Jenkins!

We are thrilled to begin this new chapter under their leadership and look forward to the passion, energy, vision, and musical excellence they will bring to our program. The future is bright for the Marching Lions, and we can’t wait to see our students continue to grow as musicians, performers, leaders, and ambassadors of Covington High School.

As we celebrate the rich traditions and successes that have made our band program a source of pride for our school and community, we are equally excited for the new opportunities, experiences, and achievements that lie ahead.

Please join us in giving a warm Marching Lions welcome to Mr. Smith and Mr. Jenkins as they lead The Pride and Roar of the Northshore into an exciting new era!

It’s time to come home and make some noise for a legend.

Join us as we celebrate the retirement of our longtime band director, Mr. Naquin, by doing what we do best—playing together one more time. We’re inviting ALL alumni of the CHS Marching Lions Band to unite and perform the Fight Song and Alma Mater in his honor.

Whether it’s been 2 years or 20, your spot in the band is still yours. Let’s fill the stands with pride, memories, and the sound that defined our time at CHS.
