Where attorneys hold their Interest on Lawyers Trust Account (IOLTA) can make a meaningful difference for New Hampshire residents in need.

When IOLTA accounts are held at Leadership Banks offering higher interest rates, the additional revenue helps fund civil legal services for people facing urgent legal issues involving domestic violence, housing, healthcare, employment, and more. In 2025, IOLTA grants helped more than 14,000 New Hampshire residents. With additional support, we can reach even more people in need.

Essay Winners Honored in Ceremony

On Monday, April 6, the Bar Foundation honored the winners of the second annual High School Civics Essay Contest. The ceremony was held at the Merrimack County Superior Court, with remarks given by Attorney Heather Burns and New Hampshire Supreme Court Chief Justice, Gordon J. MacDonald. The winning essays will be available to read on the Bar Foundation website in the coming days.
