Jordan was referred to the Earn and Learn program after expressing a strong interest in its Career Exploration component. During his initial interview, he was hesitant about meeting with program staff. Through collaboration between school staff and the Earn and Learn team, Jordan was accepted into the program and invited to attend an orientation in the classroom.

Jordan faced several challenges at the start of the program, including using appropriate language, maintaining punctuality, and consistently completing classwork. Over time, however, he made significant progress. He strengthened his communication and professionalism, became more engaged in class, and consistently worked to complete assignments to the best of his ability.

For his work-based learning experience, Jordan was placed at Airport Diner in Manchester, where he excelled in the fast-paced environment. As Jordan’s confidence and skills grew at the worksite, that progress carried into the classroom. He began advocating for himself by asking for help when needed, developing strategies to make academic tasks more accessible, and even taking the initiative to support his peers.

Jordan’s growth through th program was remarkable. Through his consistent effort and determination, he is now fully caught up academically and back on track to meet his original graduation timeline. The Earn and Learn team is incredibly proud of how far he has come and wishes him continued success throughout the remainder of his high school career.
