The New Hampshire Veterans Cemetery Association (NHVCA) is proud to share the spring lineup of events at the NH State Veterans Cemetery, as featured in their latest newsletter. We hope you’ll join us in honoring and supporting our veterans!
🤝 Granite United Way Day of Caring
Friday, May 16 • 9 AM–3 PM
NHVCA volunteers will be among the 100+ community members helping to prepare the grounds for Memorial Day.
• Sign up through Granite United Way.
🚩 Place Flags for Memorial Day
Thursday, May 22 • 1 PM
Join NHVCA and community volunteers to position flags on every veteran’s grave.
🎖️ Memorial Day Events – Friday, May 30
9 AM–2 PM – Blood Drive in the Chapel
– Register at RedCrossBlood.org (enter ZIP 03303). Let’s top the 27 pints collected last December!
11 AM – Memorial Day Ceremony
– Hosted by NH Disabled American Veterans.
7 PM – 100 Nights of Remembrance Taps
🌸 Spring Planting & Flag Retrieval
Monday, June 2
12 PM – Planting Event
Bring gloves, small shovels, and hand tools to refresh gardens and flower beds.
1 PM – Retrieve Flags from Graves
All helpers are welcome to carefully take down flags for next year.
👩✈️ Women in Military Service Memorial Ceremony
Thursday, June 12 • 1 PM
Celebrate and honor New Hampshire’s women veterans.
