On Tuesday, October 13, Homeless No More and our amazing partners will officially break ground on Grand Village! 👏

Our team is thrilled to embark on this special project that will provide safe, sustainable housing for families with children in the Midlands. We’d like to extend an invitation to our community to join us next Tuesday at 11 a.m. as we celebrate this important milestone for Grand Village. 💙🏠

Sharita brings years of experience to our Family Services Team. Most notably, she served as a program manager for the New York Public Library where she oversaw the development and implementation of programs and services across NYPL’s many branches.

Back in 2023, Homeless No More stood together with community partners to announce a milestone moment: the acquisition of the Grand Motel property that would become Grand Village 🏠 (Swipe to revisit that day➡️)

Fast forward to today, that vision is becoming reality. The construction crew is mobilizing, and we will break ground in less than one month. Soon, Grand Village will bring 30 new homes to families with children, part of our Live Oak initiative to grow the supply of affordable housing where it’s needed most.

The development will also include the James E. Christopher Community Center, a space where families can receive services and connect with neighbors.

Follow along the next few weeks as the journey to Grand Village begins. We want you with us every step of the way! 💙

is beyond thankful to receive a 2022 Chevy Silverado as a donation from Southeastern Freight Lines. 💙

This truck will be utilized by our operations team who ensures our shelter rooms and housing units are well maintained, safe, and suitable for the parents and children in our programs. This vehicle will be a huge help for our team, and we are honored to be supported by Southeastern Freight Lines in this way. 🏠

Our emergency shelter, Family Shelter, is in need of helping hands to provide dinner to our residents on Monday, September 14, and Tuesday, September 15. 🍝

Meals would need to feed approximately 35 parents and children. Volunteers can easily drop off and let our staff serve, or they are welcomed to stay and serve the meal to our families.

A new month means new rhythm and building routines that stick! 📚

At Homeless No More, our after-school and life skills programming gives children and teens a steady place to land after a busy school day. Volunteers and staff provide mentorship, homework help, and skill-building activities to create structure each day.

Thanks to our team and support from the community, the children and teens in our program are starting strong this school year. 💙🏠
