Getting Ready for Baby with Baby Bucks! 💙

These soon-to-be parents shopped at Taylor’s Boutique today, using the Baby Bucks they earned through Daybreak’s Baby Bucks Program.

Through this online, self-paced educational program, expectant and new parents complete classes on pregnancy, parenting, infant care, and other helpful topics while earning Baby Bucks to use for much-needed baby items at Taylor’s Boutique.

Today, Mom and Dad chose a high chair, backpack baby carrier, diaper bag, and other baby essentials as they prepare to welcome their little one!

And they had their own personal shopper! Hannah Rimmer, Taylor’s Boutique Coordinator, helped them find just what they needed.

They also told us what an incredible resource Daybreak has been for them as they prepare for their baby. We are grateful to walk alongside moms and dads—providing education, encouragement, and practical support as they prepare for parenthood.

A Unique Gift from the Heart 💙

Sometimes the most meaningful gifts come from using the talents God has already placed in our hands.

Recently, Karen Sparks contacted Daybreak with a special offer. She had written a poem entitled “Precious Little Ones” and asked if we would be interested in receiving poetry cards to share with our expectant moms. The cards feature her beautiful poem, with words from Psalm 139 on the back—a reminder that every life is wonderfully made and known by God.

What a thoughtful and unique way to use a God-given gift to encourage others!

Karen’s generosity is also a wonderful reminder that there are many ways to support the women, men, and babies we serve at Daybreak. Perhaps you sew, knit, crochet, write, create, organize, build, teach, bake, photograph—or have another special skill or talent God has given you. Your gift may be just what someone else needs.

This grateful mom recently visited Taylor’s Boutique with her two daughters to shop for items for their growing family. Using Baby Bucks she earned through Daybreak’s educational program, she was able to choose an infant car seat, stroller, baby monitor, blankets, swaddlers, and other baby essentials.

At Taylor’s Boutique, moms and dads can use the Baby Bucks they earn by completing prenatal, parenting, infant-care, and other educational classes to select items their families need—all at no cost to them.

Through Daybreak's Baby Bucks Program—a no-cost, educational series of online classes covering prenatal, postnatal, parenthood, infant care, and self-care topics—moms and dads earn Baby Bucks that can be redeemed in Taylor's Boutique for baby necessities and equipment.

This mom recently shopped using the Baby Bucks she and her husband earned through the program. By combining their Baby Bucks, they were able to receive a baby swing, bouncy seat, high chair, baby clothing, bottles, toys, a handmade quilt, and many other essentials to help care for their new little one.

We're honored to come alongside families with practical support, Christ-centered encouragement, and resources that help them care for their children and grow stronger together.

Creating. Connecting. Praying.

What a wonderful afternoon we shared at our "Whisper & Bloom: Prayer Box Workshop" last week!

Inspired by Colossians 4:2—"Devote yourselves to prayer, being watchful and thankful."—the women enjoyed decorating their own Prayer Boxes and Blessing Boxes, creating personalized places to keep prayer requests, favorite Scriptures, praises, and reminders of God's faithfulness. They also decorated fun ink pens to use as they spend time with the Lord.

The room was filled with creativity, conversation, laughter, encouragement, and sweet fellowship as each woman designed something uniquely her own. It was a beautiful reminder that while every box looked different, each one represents a heart growing deeper in prayer and trust in God.

A special thank you to Hannah Bleyle, leader of Daybreak's "Art & Soul: Make-and-Take Workshops", for leading another meaningful and creative afternoon.

💙 Getting Ready for Baby 👶

"Thank you so much for your generosity."

Those heartfelt words came from this mom-to-be as she prepares to welcome her little one this fall.

Through Daybreak's Baby Bucks Program, she recently visited Taylor's Boutique and redeemed the Baby Bucks she earned by completing online classes covering prenatal care, postnatal care, parenthood, infant care, and self-care.

She chose a Boppy nursing pillow, baby clothing, blankets, toys, and other essentials to help prepare for her baby's arrival.

Every lesson she completed helped her build knowledge, confidence, and practical parenting skills while earning Baby Bucks to provide many of the items she will need as she prepares to welcome her baby.

We're honored to walk alongside mothers and fathers as they prepare for parenthood, offering education, encouragement, and practical support every step of the way.

⚾ What a special evening!

On July 3, Daybreak LifeCare Center was honored to be recognized as the Columbia Fireflies "Community Organization of the Game" at Segra Park!

We're grateful to the Columbia Fireflies for highlighting the work Daybreak has been doing in our community for more than 43 years—providing compassionate, Christ-centered care, education, and practical support to women, men, and families facing unexpected pregnancies.

One of the evening's highlights was watching Jody Norris, son of our Nurse Sonographer, Katie Norris, throw out the ceremonial first pitch. It was a special moment for the Daybreak family and one we'll always remember.

Thank you to everyone who joined us for a wonderful evening of baseball, fellowship, and fireworks!
