🧵 Seeking a Quilter or Quilting Group for a Special Daybreak Project 🧵

Daybreak is looking for a talented quilter or quilting group who would be interested in creating a very special quilt for our center.

The quilt will serve as a Post-Abortion Memorial Quilt, honoring babies whose lives were lost through abortion and recognizing the healing journeys of women who have participated in Daybreak's abortion recovery ministry.

The finished quilt will be permanently displayed in the hallway outside our Conference Room as a lasting reminder of God's love, grace, forgiveness, healing, and hope.

The quilt will measure approximately 40" high x 64" wide. Included in this post is a concept design of the quilt, featuring Daybreak's colors, logo, and Psalm 46:5: "God is within her, she will not fall; God will help her at break of day."

One unique feature of this quilt is that women who complete Daybreak's abortion recovery ministry will be invited to pin a blue, pink, or white heart onto the area below the sunrise. Each heart will represent the life of a child lost to abortion and serve as a tangible expression of remembrance, healing, and hope.

More than a memorial, this quilt will become a living testimony of God's grace, with each heart representing a child remembered and a woman continuing her journey of healing.

We welcome the creativity and artistic gifts of the individual or group who takes on this project and would be happy to discuss ideas together.

As this mother prepares to welcome her baby in just a few weeks, she was able to shop in Taylor’s Boutique using “Baby Bucks” earned through Daybreak’s prenatal and postnatal educational program. She selected a Pack ’n Play crib with crib sheets, a bassinet, bouncy seat, baby clothes, and many other essentials for her little one.

Through Daybreak’s “Baby Bucks: Earn While You Learn” program, moms and dads complete short educational video lessons and earn “Baby Bucks” to redeem in Taylor’s Boutique—our on-site baby boutique filled with practical items for new parents. The boutique includes new baby clothing (0–12 months), car seats, strollers, Pack ’n Play cribs, quilts and blankets, diapers, wipes, and many other baby essentials.

We are so thankful to Abigail Greenwood for blessing Daybreak with this beautiful painting created as part of a school Bible class project.

For her project, Abigail explored the question: “How can art display God’s glory and point non-believers to Him?” Using her God-given talent as an artist, she desired to create a piece that would reflect beauty, hope, and the Lord’s presence in a space where others would encounter it.

Titled "Joy Comes in the Morning" from Psalm 30:5, the painting was inspired by Daybreak’s blue and gold colors and the imagery of a sunrise. Now hanging in our front office, it serves as a beautiful reminder of comfort, healing, and new beginnings for the women and families we serve each day.
