For this week's REALTOR® Tip Tuesday, focus on affordability!

“Marry the house, date the rate” only works if the budget works today. Instead of banking on a quick refinance or telling clients to wait on the sidelines, focus on negotiating seller-funded buy-downs and concessions now. If rates drop later, great. If not, your buyer is already in a home they can comfortably afford.

NAR’s newly released 2026 REALTORS® Technology Report offers a close look at the technology agents are using and what they want those tools to do for them.

More than 80% of respondents said saving time is their primary goal in embracing new technology, up from 66% a year ago, and more than 70% said they used tech to improve the client experience, up from 64% in 2025.

Congratulations to SCR Past President Ken Jackson, who will have a Francis Marion University facility named in his honor.

The Kenneth W. Jackson Lecture Hall, located in the Hugh and Jean Leatherman Medical Education Complex in downtown Florence, will be named for REALTOR® and FMU Trustee Ken Jackson (`84). Jackson has served on the FMU Board of Trustees since 1998, providing nearly three decades of distinguished leadership to the university. During his tenure, he has served as board chair, vice chair and secretary.
