SCRWA is offering up to $12,500 to systems for the installation of transfer switches/connection boxes on critical infrastructure. These installations are intended to increase the resiliency of water/wastewater systems by providing a fast and safe way to connect back-up power during emergencies. Funding for these projects is available from Oct 2026 – Nov 2027. Applications will be open until Nov 30th, 2026.

October is Cybersecurity Awareness Month! Securing your water system against digital threats does not require a massive IT budget. The SCRWA Circuit Riders are equipped to provide ground water systems with technical assistance by showing their staff how to take a proactive approach to well maintenance and monitoring.  Periodically measuring and recording the static and pumping levels in a well is a great way to establish a baseline in performance.  As an operator measures a well over time, they will be able to recognize deviations that indicated problems before disaster strikes.
